NOSTAGIA WINS Reviewed by Tom Homer on Apr 30, 2015   5 out of 5

My dad got me a 1000 shot Red Ryder when I was a kid - I bought the 50th Anniversary Red Ryder back in 1988 and bought this one for nostalgia however, originally my first Daisy was all wood and steel and they used the year 1938 as their anniversary date which actually was when the business deal was made to market the BBgun under the Red Ryder name and it was 1940 when the BBgun hit the open market and around the year 2000 the Daisy Company decided to make that year (1940) as their new anniversary date which caused some confusion to Red Ryder owners/collectors. The 75th Anniversary Model Red Ryder is assembled in America (Rogers, Arkansas) but the parts are made in China, what a shame - Red Ryder and Little Beaver must be sad over that. Buy one - I put mine next to my 50th Anniversary one - there is still a lot of kid left in me. Happy trails.

Fulfilled my dream Reviewed by Jack W Davis on Apr 21, 2015   5 out of 5

KOF3241 Well, my childhood dream of owning a Red Ryder BB gun has finally come true. As a child, dear old Mom would never see her way clear to give little Jackie his own Daisy. So, bless your soul, Mom, I finally got my baby! Granted, I'm almost 70 years old, but I love my gun, and, so far, I've not shot my eye out. Love it!

Just like the one I had when I was a kid, my son loves it! Love the real wood and the heft. It is a .177 so it is not all that dangerous, and great for DAMN, I PUT MY EYE OUT! ;-)

"Its ok, but..." Reviewed by Marc Key on Apr 16, 2015   3 out of 5

Its alright, but nostalgia only goes so far. What I like: The wood is really pretty. What I don't: Well, my fore grip was a bit chipped at the back end where it says Red Ryder. The brass band was loose. Box was in poor condition, but the rifle was fine. That I attribute to S&H, not to Daisy. I am sure its fine for a plinker, but if you are a big boy, and looking for more than a blast from the past, buy a reconditioned, break-barrel Gamo from a competitor's site. I got it for my 9 year old son. He says he likes it, so that makes it worth the purchase price. For me, meh. Im also getting him the 75th anniversary edition Red Ryder Boy's First Knife from a competitor's website.
