Great blade, bad video Reviewed by on Dec 28, 2015   5 out of 5

This is an amazing product. The blade is light weight and easily transportable, but it has one of the worst demonstration videos. It looked as if the blade was dull and down graded the potential of this item.

Amazing Sword Reviewed by on Dec 23, 2015   5 out of 5

It was just as I expected and my boyfriend loved it. I would highly reccomend it to anyone who wants a good sword.

Pretty good Reviewed by Chase W. Burgess on Jan 24, 2015   4 out of 5

Its a pretty good sword. Not the sharpest OTB and the sheath looks a little cheap, how ever it is a pretty cool sword over all... the handle strings look like they will come lose easily but nothing a little para-cord can't fix

not to shabby Reviewed by john on Aug 22, 2014   4 out of 5

Solidly built sword. Even after several fights with my cousins 10 pound, double handed full tang broadsword, (of which i won many) it did not show any signs of bending. My main complaint is that the nylon wrapped handle unwound very quickly. i just replaced it with electrical tape. Also, it does not hold a edge for long. It didn't come sharp, which is to be expected with most edge weapons, but it was disappointing. It was not even sharp enough to cut the cardboard box it came in. overall, it is a good product. thanks, Budk!

Favorite under $30 Reviewed by Not telling on Aug 06, 2014   5 out of 5

I currently own a whole closet of stuff from Budk. This sword remains one of my favorites (I managed to buy three of them when I mistakenly thought they were going out of production). The design is just amazing. I could go on about how great it is, but I'll let the five stars do that for me and tell you what's not so great. The cord wrap will come undone, but that is easy to fix. A few other comments: the little half circle cutout by the handle bothers me. probably weakens the blade significantly. Also, the sword is made out of stainless steel. Anything over 12 inches should not be made out of this (risk of shattering... don't hit it sideways against anything hard). The point is still wicked (I'm more careful with this one than I am with my katana), and it's a great sword to swing around or just keep on display. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a nice, cheap piece. Definitely worth double the price.

AWESOME SPEARHEAD Reviewed by Jim on Jun 30, 2014   5 out of 5

I bought this sword to construct my own survival spear and used the 6 foot white waxwood staff (Item #31 BK1188) as the shaft. I merely had to grind down the handle of the spear so it was straight and flush with the staff, split the shaft with a saw, tapered the blade end of the staff, drilled 4 holes through the staff & blade, inserted 4 steel pins, wrapped the blade end with paracord to keep the pins in place, put 4 coats of Varathane on the paracord to keep it from unraveling & to keep the pins in place and then painted the shaft with flat black paint. The project came out much, much better than expected and I think it is indestructible and well balanced. Note: Mount the blade on the thick end of the staff and then cut the staff to the desired length. My finished spear is 5' long plus the length of the blade.

great sword for the price Reviewed by james on Jun 23, 2014   5 out of 5

great sword for the price, lightweight but very useful, for what it was made for and nothing else. less than 10 minutes gets you a very sharp edge

Sweet Sword Reviewed by Patrick on Mar 10, 2014   5 out of 5

Great sword came in about two days and was decently sharp. As a gift it was fantastic

good Reviewed by nick on Mar 10, 2014   4 out of 5

good little blade, not really for cutting or slashing though otherwise my only problem with it is the rope handle falling off.
