Shanghai Spy Sword Reviewed by Asher Brown on Jan 24, 2016   4 out of 5

This piece was definitely worth more than the price. I put it through some pretty tough use, and it performed very well (ex. soda cans, water bottles, even small planks of wood) The only problem is that the pommel or butt of the sword is welded onto the tang, which is exactly where mine broke. This is a decent sword that came with a nice edge, and it performs well.

Nice Sword Reviewed by Rich on Oct 25, 2014   3 out of 5

The sword is nice and came sharp but the sheath is junk. It fell apart within five minutes.

Great Value Reviewed by Ed.T.III on Mar 29, 2014   5 out of 5

Very beautifully crafted. I bought this sword for my step son and now im tempted to buy one for me. My original intention was to buy it because it has a full tang and my step son has a reputation for breaking the handles on swords that do not have a full tang. I figured this handle would stay on. (lol) For 12 dollars it is an awesome sword. You cannot beet the price and the cord rapped handle is rapped much more thicker than most cord raped handles. Frankly speaking I’m surprised this sword is only 12 dollars. Nice job BudK.

Good piece. Reviewed by James on Dec 28, 2013   4 out of 5

I like this blade, it does as advertised right out of the box! (Er...bag really) The chord came off quite quickly but it was bad for gripping anyhow. Blade is sharp enough, and the steel it nice and sturdy, all in all, a great blade to have!

Not bad for the money Reviewed by James on Nov 24, 2013   4 out of 5

Didnt come to sharp but it a nice loooking sword and for the money you can't beat it . It came pretty quick and it looks good on the wall so that's what I bought it for the looks , now if the zombies come hopefully I can use it to cut their heads off lol .

Cheap but good Reviewed by Thomas on Sep 29, 2013   5 out of 5

Yes, this sword is cheap. Yes, it would probably break or bend if you tried to chop down a tree. But it looks cool and is sharp enough and sturdy enough to have some fun cutting up cardboard boxes or just to display. As others have mentioned the red cord wrap does loosen very easily but that is also easily fixable. All in all for only $13 (especially if you get it with a discount or penny shipping) this is well worth the money.

Awesome Sword Reviewed by Garrett on Jul 22, 2013   5 out of 5

This sword kicks a$$! Showed up Sharp in just 5 days, already decently sharp. My first impression of the sword was, it looks great! Perfect size for throwing in a bug out bag, or just a bag for a camping trip. But then I put it to use. I used it to chop down a large~ish walnut tree, and the sword passed the test with flying colors. Only took me about half an hour to chop down the tree, then chop it into small, manageable pieces of fire wood. The flame, unfortunately, as well as a good amount of the black paint, came off, but this is easily fixed with a can of flat black spray paint. Also, the wrap comes off easily, but this can be fixed with a different wrap pattern and some glue. Overall, probably the best twelve bucks I've ever spent!
