Stainless Steel ????? Reviewed by on Aug 03, 2015   3 out of 5

A Stainless Steel blade huh? Mine rusted over after one night outside. If and only if you keep it dry it makes a good hacking sword. Sharp blade. Thick blade. Fair quality sheath. Overall a good buy, but c'mon BUDK don't tell me it's stainless when it's not.

Tough blade Reviewed by on Jul 24, 2015   5 out of 5

I ordered 6 of these swords while they were on BOGO (buy one get one free). So far only 1 of the 12 has broken. The sword blade is sharp and tough. The sheath and belt are nice. My only problem is with the handle. After a few whacks it comes loose and eventually falls apart completely. Definitely a fixer-upper, but overall a good buy.

This sword is very sharp, right out of the box. It is also heavy, can take abuse. the only drawback is that it is blade heavy, not well balanced for a welding with one hand. Scabbard is not very functional.

I spoke with someone at BudK a while back who said they had taken this thing and smashed cinder blocks and chopped on railroad ties and it didn't come apart so they guess it's full tang. I can say it's heavy like a broad sword. I've got a Cold Steel Gladius machete (which is nice) that feels light by comparison. The scabbard is nice. It comes reasonably sharp. It's a think blade and sharpens with my ax sharpener fine. It should kill lots of zombies.
