Quietly stalking a great white-tailed buck in the forests of the smokey mountains, an early American settler knew he could count on the lone tool strapped to his belt after the kill. This beautiful Southwestern Buffalo Bowie knife alludes to earlier giant knives that were used for any task you could throw at them. From splitting wood for fires, to cleaning big game, this bowie knife is ready for action!

Fine example of an early Classic Bowie. Great for modern day Mountain Men & Collectors. My 2 Bowies are fine examples of Blade smiths in Pakistan. Both my Bowie came very sharp out of the box. The sheath is a thin leather/ that would not hold up in use. It is more of a storage case. Well made & solid knife. I like its rugged & classic look.

"Bowie Knife ""NOT""" Reviewed by Glenn61 on Jun 27, 2015   2 out of 5

Stag Bone Bowie Knife also called the SouthWestern Buffalo Bowie... This Bowie looks more like a big kitchen knife than a real Bowie. While it is a nice full tang out to the edge of the grip design, the handle and the guard is way too small for the size of the blade. The blade is cut off square with the edge extended and the short handle and undersized guard makes for a dangerous situation if you push the knife into anything firm, your hand could easily slide past the guard and you can find your fingers right in line with the blade edge. Another really noticeable deficiency with this knife is the sheath. while it's re-enforced with rivets, the leather is just folded over and is of the lowest quality. The securing strap is ultra light duty like it was made for a much smaller knife. Over all this discounted knife could have been made much-much better for say $19.99 like the Timber Rattler Western Outlaw Bowie Knife, my favorite in the Big Cheap Bowie Knives here...

nice knife Reviewed by Larry Gallup on Mar 28, 2015   4 out of 5

Pleased with the buffalo bone Bowie.just finished working on it.the handle was very square edged.and uncomfortable(none of this is by way of a complaint-not for 12.99 !),and I could take or leave the burnt look finish on the bone,so dug out the dremel I had almost forgotten gathering dust in the closet, and went to work, radiused, and rounded the edges, and corners-much more comfortable now,and to me looks better(tried sandpaper but very slow, and hard to hold a uniform radius-dremel works like a dream-though the smell of ground bone still lingers, and a light coat of bone dust all over room_REAL BONE INDEED! -then sanded off the brown finish, leaving just a very little very faded tan to give an aged look, then used dremel to polish up the brass, and cut down a few very small areas where the tang was slightly proud of the bone handle, finished off with a stone and hone session, now I love the way it looks and feels, and it shaves my arm nicely ,-by the way I enjoyed working it over, and now it's my knife, not one of a zillion. By the way the tiny PAKISTAN doesn't bother me-I have a couple very inexpensive hunting knives made there I've had for over 40 years , much used and industructable,so I take that stamp as a good omen-the knife was bought to keep my Walker Colt company on the gun belt, just need to find/make a nice sheath.

Strong and heavy... Reviewed by GJ on Jun 30, 2014   4 out of 5

All In all a very good knife. It seems strong and well put together. Both of mine required a vigorous cleaning and polishing of the brass but they shine like a new dime now. The sheath is light but adequate and I am quite happy with this purchase. The BOGO sale made it especially nice. I only dropped a star because of the necessary cleanup but this knife is a great buy.

EXCELLENT BARGAIN Reviewed by Jerry Hines AKA--THE KNIFEman on May 07, 2014   4 out of 5

A nice knife to look at,but, a big distraction to me and most buyers would be that it has a pakistan engraving on it. For the money that I paid for it, I am pleased. It is sharp, beautiful, and heavy. I cant say the sheath is not flimsy, it is very flimsy.Benefit of dought goes to the knife--4 stars **** Jerry Hines AKA THE KNIFE MAN.
