This is Anduril, the sword of King Elessar of Gondor from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Anduril was forged from the shards of the sword Narsil, carried by Aragorn, the heir to the throne of Gondor. Aragorn wielded Anduril against the forces of Sauron and assumed the name of Elessar once the final victory was won. United Cutlery, industry leader in fine movie reproductions, has meticulously recreated the actual filming prop using only the finest grade materials and craftsmanship. Close attention to detail was a top priority.

I absolutely love this sword! It looks just like the one in the movie, and has some weight to it. It was the highlight of my Christmas!!

Hardcore sword collectors call unsharpened stainless ornamental replicas like this "sword-like objects" because they are really nothing like functional blades. However, I find it is quite easy to appreciate this sword as what it is: the most legendary weapon in the Tolkein saga brought to life on the walls of my home. It fulfills its role of satisfying the kid in me with excellence. My only complaint is United seems not to polish any of their swords during the manufacturing process so they are usually murky and smudged out of the box. But even cheap metal polish will clean it up and have it looking spotless and fit for the king of Gondor.

The sword is very beautiful but not sharp at all I would have it sharpened but I would fear it make scratch or imperfect the perfect blade. The scabbard does a great job of transporting the sword but the handle of the sword is so heavy it make the scabbard awkward to wear, this is a very good sword for display, not wearable or useable.

At 56 years old it's not too often that I feel like a kid at Christmas. Okay, it's not exactly Christmas (it's September) but I feel just as excited holding my new Anduril sword up high with both hands and staring at it in awe. It really helps me live the LOTR fantasy. This thing is a work of art and well worth every penny. Thank you so much to United Cutlery for making it available. Now I'm going to order the scabbard and then for Christmas I'm getting Gandalf's sword Glamdring.....although I probably won't be able to wait that long. Roger Sargent

Blade That Was Broken. Reviewed by Rustle Smith on Apr 26, 2014   5 out of 5

This sword is amazing. I got it for Christmas from my parents. Im only 14, so im not allowed to sharpen it yet, but being full tang as it is, sharpening it would make it perfectly functional. I carry it down the street when I go get the mail. The blade is somewhat bent towards the end, but its hard to notice while on the wall. Overall, its rather amazing.

Wow, Just WOW! OK first off.. of all the research I did on this sword it is way better then anyone and I mean anyone has ever said about it! OK, so the sword itself is VERY heavy... and EXTREMELY sharp I would almost suggest not buying the sword unless you had a scabbard to protect yourself from it haha, But if you want it who cares, I put a cut into a chest made out of wood and a cut into my pant leg. Due to the sharp end. It is indeed kinda hard to pull out of the scabbard at first but that's because it doesn't allow the sword to go flying out of it or come up at all. VERY VERY VERY WORTH IT! I'm looking forward to buying another Lord of the rings sword!

Now, this is a sword! It's beautiful and well constructed also hard to believe Aragon flipped this baby around the way he did in the movie-it's huge! If you're into the 'Lord of the Rings' and want a truly outstanding collectible, this is a good one.

This sword has by far the best craftsmanship out of all the replications that I have seen.
