ok for price Reviewed by on Jan 08, 2016   3 out of 5

Little flimsy. Shorter blade than picture shows but it is accurate in description. I weigh 200+ and after only a couple of weeks the blade and cane are bending. Sword blade is not sharp at all. I wouldn't buy it again but have to admit I got what I paid for.

Not nearly as impressive in person. Very lightweight construction, flimsy and wavy blade, takes so long to unscrew the blade you better have a plan B.

Absolute Rubbish. Reviewed by Andrew on Jun 12, 2014   1 out of 5

If zero stars were available, then that is what I would give. Very cheap to buy, and very cheap and nastily made. The so called 'sword' part is no such thing, and one is better off with just a cane for self defense. There is no way one would have time to unscrew this thing in time if needed. Like I said in the title, it's absolute rubbish.

With a bad arthritic knee this is very sturdy, good weapon in the cane alone, the blade is enough for thrusting, and the crooked handle is great, if you don't believe me get one without a curved handle, you will spend all of your time picking it up off the floor. I weigh 250 and use for walking, very sturdy.

For the price it a good value so far I have had no problems from the product.

Very good looking cane. A ball of wool inserted in the shaft stopped the blade from rattling which is common in the less expensive sword canes. A good buy.

I'm a bit disappointed in this one. I've only taken a few steps with this one because I just don't feel I can trust it. The very dull blade rattles a LOT when I walk with this cane, the cane shaft is bendy and the brass hardware where the handle attaches to the shaft is very loose. I'm debating if it's worth trying some Gorilla glue to tighten up the hardware, or just sending it back and returning it instead. The 8-ball cane I bought at the same time for half the price is turning out to be a much better value than this thing.

I've used this cane about a decade, replacing the rubber tip. The 35" overall length is perfect for my height. Over the years, it has bent slightly from regular, daily use, but very little and being of rattan is very strong. The blade sharpens well.

Nice looking cane Reviewed by Dave on Feb 08, 2011   4 out of 5

The woodwork on the cane is very nice. The brass fitting that the handle screws into is not uniformally finished, but is okay. The blade on the one I got was actually 17 7/8" long, not quite 1/8" thick and has a sharp point. The blade itself is not sharpened along its length, but the description does not say that it is sharpened. The blade is also rather bendy, but is fastened quite solidly in the handle. I like it for the price.
