This authentically detailed sword is a reproduction of the prop featured in The Prince of Persia - “The Sands of Time", presented by Disney. United Cutlery, industry leader in fine film prop reproductions, has meticulously recreated the actual filming prop. This epic live-action adventure takes viewers across mysterious lands where deceit and betrayal threaten the destruction of two noble kingdoms. The hero, Dastan, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, embarks on a journey of redemption that unlocks the mysteries of the past. Along his journey Dastan meets Tamina, Princess of Alamut, portrayed by Gemma Arterton. She is sworn to protect the secrets of the sands of time. While Dastan and Tamina try desperately to keep the Dagger of Time out of the hands of evil, the chief Hassansin, portrayed by Gisli Orn Gardarsson, and his band of black-cloaked villains attempt to steal the dagger using their weapons and uncommon fighting style. The blade is constructed of stainless steel with a false-edge. It has been distressed with battle-worn nicks to match the filming prop. The highly decorated hilt parts have been precisely cast from antique finished metal, with a hardwood grip, as seen in the film. The cast metal pommel features an intricately detailed pattern identical to the actual filming prop. The replica was created using the finest grade materials and craftsmanship available. Close attention to quality is a top priority in every piece. Each replica includes a custom wood wall plaque with a unique silk screen design, brass shield and a certificate of authenticity. Great display sword Reviewed by JakeAaron on Mar 22, 2013   4 out of 5

The sword looks great hanging on the wall. Feels very well made in your hands. And the details are beautiful. It's got some pretty good weight to it, and the weight of the blade isn't quite balanced quite right, but that's okay. Don't expect to be able to cut anything with this sword though. Not sure it could even cut warm butter. Only giving it four stars because when I buy a sword I expect it to have at least some sort of sharp edge. Overall, looks great to hang on the wall for a collector.

Great, Heavy, Decorative Sword with an amazing price Reviewed by Gabe B. on Jan 08, 2013   5 out of 5

I just got this sword in today, and I am a very happy buyer. It is a beautiful decoration on my wall with my collection, and was very surprised with a couple of things. Even though, through the comments, I knew the blade was going to be a bit heavier than expected, I was still surprised. It's not to heavy, but it has a very good weight to it. The handle is very firm on the blade as well, and does not feel loose. It is one of the best feeling prop replica swords I have seen that was not outrageously priced. I got this during the closeout price, it was an amazing deal! I am very happy with my purchase, not to mention that BudK got it to me in 3 days! Keep up the amazing work BudK, This one was definitely worth it!

POP Black Shamshir of Dastan Reviewed by Mike D. on Mar 17, 2011   5 out of 5

I recieved this item today and found it to be much more substantial and weighty than almost any other movie sword that I've purchased to date. The craftsmanship and faithfulness to the sword used on screen is excellent and I couldn't be more pleased. As expected, it's false edged which is great because it's to be a "display only" piece-- if I had wanted a fully functional and accurate historic shamshir, I would have ordered your Cold Steel shamshir, which I probably will do in the near future anyhow. FYI, that item is comparably priced to a hand forged shamshir that is defficient in both durability and keenness to Cold Steels'.

Prince of Persia sword Reviewed by Deanna Conway on Jul 16, 2010   4 out of 5

It is heavier than it looks and the gold design is well done. Its unusual design is rather like a straight sword and some of the qualities of a shamshir (scimitar). I collect swords and am happy to add it to my collection
