Purchased one to conceal as an assassins weapon. Tarnished black hides perfectly in night.

Worth it. Reviewed by Matt O on Sep 11, 2014   5 out of 5

I went ahead and bought two of these a year or two back, I just never got around to writing a review until now. These katars are definitely worth the $20. I have a small collection of blades, and of them all, these came the sharpest out of the box and have held their form all throughout. I've sliced through boxes, bottles, and shrubs with them, all with ease. As far as bottles go - Its possible (maybe after a touch up of sharpening if not at first) to stab or slice water bottles so cleanly that they will not spill. I have time and time again stabbed water bottles and the like just to see how my friends would react. Jaw dropping and "what the?" 's are the two most common replies. I definitely recommend these for anyone who wants a katar or two. The only thing I would recommend is that if you plan on doing anything more than cutting or stabbing through something harder than I guess saplings - it may be a good idea to weld (or have someone else) the blade to the handle portion for that extra hold.

Okay for the money Reviewed by Neil on Jul 08, 2014   3 out of 5

I finally broke down and bought one. I wasn't real impressed with the one I received. There is a pretty good gap between the blade and handle. The blade is a bit crooked to the handle also. I wasn't expecting much and only plan to beat the heck out of it anyway.

Great deal Reviewed by Dakota on May 15, 2013   5 out of 5

Big weapon maker and collector here And when i seen this i figured it was a good deal Orderd it, 3 days later received it, and was amazing how much bigger it was than i thought Sharpness rating is about a 5 outta 10 because like everything else its machine cut, but if u good with a table sander, its no problem to make it a 10, steel good and tough, the blade connecting to the handle is questionable but so far its held up to alot of abuse If u want a katar, this one right here is the perfect one to get

Awesome Katar! Reviewed by Assassin4Life on Jan 15, 2012   5 out of 5

At first, I was cautious at the price. I wanted a katar, but not one that costs $30. I found this one, and I thought I might as well buy it. It shipped to my house in 3 days, and I found one of my favorite weapons. Incredible condition, and the sheath, unlike others, doesn't fall apart, and it won't for a long time. Thank you so much.

I have not yet gotten the blade, but have used the same one at a friend house in the mountains. This thing is beastly. We where chopping our way through a forest with ease. The sheath I do not know the quality of but I expect to be poor from other comments. I am glad to have purchased it after the other one was lost. (under a car, never came back at friends house).

After seeing this blade on Deadliest Warrior I wanted one. When it arrived I couldn't believe how large the blade is. The only thing I regret is not buying a second one Thanks Budk!!!

awsome weapon Reviewed by Eric on Nov 28, 2011   5 out of 5

Truly a great weapon, it has a solid steel construction, a nice sharp edge, and is extremely sharp at the tip. It is well balanced and it is easy to use. The sheath is cheaply made and does not take long for it to start falling apart, other than that, a great quality weapon for the price. good job BudK!

This is an excellent blade, for the MONEY. I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for top quality, but for the price, great buy. Blade comes sharp, not razor, and is well balanced. Only major short coming is the sheath that the blade comes with. The clasp broke as soon as I tried to open it, and the quality of it is very poor. Luckily, the quality of the sheath doesn't continue to the blade itself. Good buy for the price, and good addition to my collection.
