the blade is skewed in the handle, and the knife is obviously made by younger hands. In Pakistan, etc., the bigger knives are crafted by older men. Okay sheath, but the snap appears to be at least 10 years old... makes the knife look aged. The handle needs oiling, the brass needs polishing, the blade needs sharpening... not really worth the effort. Still a cutie for the price. Will give to someone knife-ignorant...

this knife is very good for throwing, but the blade comes a little bent in box but a easy fix, overall very awesome boot knife!!.

nice looking knife Reviewed by louis on May 22, 2015   3 out of 5

nice looking knife, haven't had time to do anything with it yet. am a little disappointed in it's called a boot knife but you can't wear it on your boot( sheath not made for it.)

Sharp, beautiful old fasioned dagger Reviewed by Stacy on Sep 03, 2014   5 out of 5

I was shocked at how sharp the knife is. Its almost too sharp. On one side of the blade it says "mountain man" and on the opposite "Pakistan". This knife feels like one my father would has owned. Very strong and heavy. The only complaint I have is the sheath. The box states it's leather but it feels man-made. Parts of it feels like thick paper and foam rubber. Also the button snap has a bit of rust and corrode. It does keep the blade contained but I would prefer plastic. The knife itself is amazing though. The handle feels especially nice. The handle being round and shaped the right way I doubt someone could take it from me. If someone broke in I would feel confident protecting myself with this. This is the perfect dagger.

crooked boot knife Reviewed by luckyduck411 on Dec 20, 2013   1 out of 5

crooked, the whole thing is off center . the blade is crooked in the handle , the mountain man logo is off center , the handle itself is cockeyed . i think a drunk, nearsighted, guy made this knife . if the chinese army has weapons like this,, we're safe .

Good for spreading butter Reviewed by Monty on Dec 14, 2013   1 out of 5

Very disappointed! Tip not pointed (looks like it was broken off), sides/edges not sharp, and wouldn't trust it if needed for self-defense. Save your money and buy something else.

Killer knife for $5 Reviewed by Steve on Nov 30, 2013   3 out of 5

If you don't have much money this knife is one of the best deals on BUDK i love the look and feel of it and i use it literally every day. people have offered me 20 bucks for it the handle is solid and the blade can get pretty sharp after a bit of work just don't go stabbing anything with it, the tip bends easily but is easy to bend back into place.

good looking...but useless Reviewed by Matt on Nov 13, 2013   2 out of 5

had high hopes for this cheap little knife from readying other reviews...guess I got the lame duck or something. the point is flat the edges are dull, and I cant get the thing to take an edge at all the blade flexes like it wants to be a fillet knife when it grows up and the blade is turned crooked about 15 degrees in the handle and bent to the side. the sheath feels like hard plastic far more than leather but it does its job so far...all that being said the knife looks pretty nice with the brass and wood handle.

Not what I expected Reviewed by Thomas on Oct 29, 2013   3 out of 5

This knife was incredibly cheap. It has a nice classic look and comes relatively sharp and was too hard to sharpen further. However, this is an incredibly small knife. It's partly my fault for not reading closely enough so I won't hold it against it, but it really is a small knife. The big problem with this knife however, is the thickness. It is incredibly thin, and of course not very good quality steel. While lower quality steel can suffice for a small knife because this one is so very thin it bends with the smallest amount of force. Especially at the tip, but along most of the knife it can be bent relatively easily by hand. So, if you just want a classic looking knife in mini form to look at and cut soft things it will do, but overall I think this is not good for what most people would want.
