"Sturdy, but" Reviewed by Matthew on Jun 25, 2015   4 out of 5

Ok so let's make it clear about the blade shape. Heck, it's barely even a blade, really. Cutting edges are ok, but you won't be able to slash very well at all. It's extremely concave, like a pipe cut in half at the wide portion of the head. This is different than the spear heads I'm used to and I don't really like what it does for the looks. However, it's got a very sharp point and it's sturdy. It'll do all the things a spear should, but as somebody who likes to slash with a spear it's not EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Solid Spear Reviewed by NC Ronin on May 07, 2015   4 out of 5

This is the 2nd spear i've decided to try from Budk. the first was the shinwa model and although i really like it, you can tell the difference in the sturdiness the spear offers right away. The hardwood shaft is heavy and feels good and strong. One thing that surprised me, although it wasn't a bad surprise, was the spear head. it comes with two additional screws to secure the tip to the shaft although once you beat it on by tapping the base of the shaft on the ground it feels like its not going to fly off, either way good extra security. You can't see from the picture but the spear head is concave on one side. As in, it looks rounded all the way around in the picture but if you can imagine, the other half of the tip is cut off leaving the inside of the curved part exposed. This is not as drastic as it sounds, i actually like it this way. creates very sharp sides and makes the tip very strong and reinforced and the shovel like shape can actually be used to dig/pry/breach.
