Absolutely top notch!

"This 1851 Pietta Navy was exactly the black powder revolver I had been looking for. Free shipping + 10% off as a new customer made it a deal I couldn't refuse. Follow up by BUDK customer service and prompt information on tracking made me feel my transaction was secure. I ordered on a Monday, and the package was delivered on a Friday that same week! Can't beat that. Wish that BUDK would carry a wider selection of percussion revolvers. If I saw something I was interested in, I'd have no hesitation about buying from them again. TOP NOTCH!"

Nice gun

"I own an earlier version of this same revolver, proof marks on it went were placed right over beautiful laser engraving on the frame! With this new version Pietta did not do that, thank goodness. Very pleased with this revolver, you won't find a better outfit to deal with than BudK. I have bought from them for years and have never been disappointed."

Great black powder pistol

"Don't let the 4 stars fool you. I don't give 5 to anyone unless it is extraordinary. Very nice black powder pistol but out of the box it needs some help. They ship it bathed in oil to keep it from rusting on the shelf. I get it, but you will need to totally strip and do a thorough cleaning. Not a bad thing because if this is new to you, you will learn about the internal functions. Felt a bit gritty too when I first started dry firing it so a good cleaning is best. While you are at it you may want to smooth and ease edges so it works better. Plenty of youtube tutorials on this. Or you can just shoot it a lot to break it in. Great value and I might be a little more particular about how smooth my guns work but as the great philosopher said "I am what I am and that's all that I am." Popeye the Sailor."

Quality piece!

"Quality piece right out of the box. surprisingly accurate at 50 yards. Also, the howell 38 long colt conversion cylinder works extremely well with this revolver. Kudos to Pietta!"
