"I ordered this as a gift for my son who has wanted one for ages. I wish I had ordered two. It is beautiful! I've seen complaints about the finish but I really like the blue and you can see the brass handle through the blue finish. It looks great, two thumbs way up from me. 100 percent satisfying. BUDK's customer support was on the spot to help with a shipping change. This was my first order from BUDK, but not my last."
"For the construction of the knife, I have to say I absolutely love it. The Windlass Steelcraft group that made this blade does great work. I have a WW1 Bolo knife from the same guys and I love and have used it for years. The blade came sharp and in good shape. It was tempered very well and has a full tang from what I could feel with the weight. Perfect for thrusting and does a good job with slashing as well. The knuckle duster handle is beautiful. It is a good piece of brass that is very solid and sturdy. I'll have to polish it though so I can get the bright orange color of brass like in the pictures. It is not anything bad when it arrived, but the brass was anything but polished to where it really shined. For my issues with the knife can only really be with the sheath. I am not a historian on whether it is "authentic" or not, but its awful. The sheath has too much space in it to where the blade can easily fall out if you simply walk with it in hand. The sheath is only made out of the metal that makes it, no lining or clip on it to hold the knife in place. I am not sure if that was supposed to be like that but either way, it makes the sheath completely pointless as it cannot keep the knife in it at all. I only use the sheath to protect the blade when I store it. If there was a way to add a lining to the inside I would. I am having to work with a guy to make a leather sheath for the thing just so I can use the knife at all in any practical sense. Honestly if the sheath was any better I would give it 5 stars easily. Looking back the only other issue I see now with it is that I had bought it after BUDK lowered the price for it. Nothing against them, but I fell like I could have saved a lot of money for waiting longer to get this knife, and I waited a long time."
