"I bought an ebony Scimitar & had it engraved & she liked it. I bought the Heartwood one for myself and she’s been mad every since! I’m gonna build a crest for the both of them & maybe she’ll see my vision for them,together. Good luck just in case for me."

"Overall, I am pleased with this sword. The blade is thick, perfectly straight, and it is heavy and powerful. The nylon sheath is satisfactory, but leather would have been more traditional. My problem is with the handle. The wood pieces, which are too small, do not line up smoothly with the steel straps. This results in sharp steel edges which could easily cut my hand. For a wall hanger, this would not be a problem, but for actual, potential use, I will have to tape over the sharp edges. I'll probably use colored (not black) electrical tape. It will be easy enough to do but, at 46.99 plus tax, it shouldn't be necessary. I'm glad the other reviewers haven't had this problem, so I'll give it 4 stars instead of 3."

"I nabbed two of these when they were on BOGO, and I couldn't be happier! The blade is nice and beefy, being exactly 1/8" thick with it's point of balance being right at the narrowest point, roughly 3" from the guard. The handles really shine though, being very comfortable in the hand and beautifully designed. The guard is very no-frills and has been tack welded onto the handle, which makes it very sturdy but would be my only complaint seeing as how it's not the prettiest solution (it is hidden underneath the guard, though, so it's not immediately visible). The sheath is OK, I'm not a big fan of nylon sheaths but at least this one is tailor made to this sword. It has a zipper-back for the easy removal of the blade. BudK appears to be trying to get rid of these for some reason, being on BOGO and now on "rock bottom deals", so I highly recommend picking one up!"
