Product Description
This Silver Vein Butterfly knife by Bear and Sons Cutlery is light and durable and a perfect fit for anyone! This item cannot be sold in CA, HI or NY.
First off, the knife is awesome. Solid build, not too much play, a little on the heavy side, but I like that. A great buy for a person new to flipping, or someone looking for a great casual flipper.
However, the shipping is absolute trash. Allow me to explain.
I ordered the knife 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. The website said 7-10 business days, so after 10, I called. They said it was actually 14, and then they sent me a confirmation email, that laid dormant in my inbox for another week, because I hadn't received the knife. So after 14 business days, it still wasn't here. I had to make a claim, until it got here 2 days later.
So please, order this knife, its solid and fun. But use ANY other website, with more reliable shipping. Blade HQ is good, so I reccomend them. All in all great knife, terrible shipping.
P.s
It's either wait 2 weeks plus, or shell out 20 bucks to get it in 3 days

American Made.
I have been looking for a Balisong for some time now that was decent quality, did not cost an arm and a leg, and was made here in the good old U.S.A. I did not want to blow $300 plus for a benchmade. I talked to a few friends that have a few of Bear Balisongs, and all were happy with them. This knife got here in around 5 days. Good time. It was sharp out of the box and flipped nicely. A bit tight ut to be expected with a new knife of this type. The only problem I noticed was the knife was out of the box and loose in the envelope just like the other review here. A little tape would go a long way to correct this minor problem. Other than this, another nice product from BudK.

Good Knife
It came out of the box great and sharp. Mine shreds through paper like butter. the price is great, and the quality is good. The only reason i did not give it five stars is because the blade is sticking. Im sure it will loosen the more i use it, but for know i cant flip it that well. But overall i recommend getting this knife.

not bad
This is a beautiful knife for the price. when i received it in the mail though the company box had been smashed and the knife was outside the box in envelope; thankfully the knife wasn't damaged. my only thing with it is that the handles are somewhat "wobbly", but maybe I'm just being picky. Overall its a beautiful knife, and I'm definitely gonna buy some more Bear & Son butterfly knives.

pretty dang good
Just got this in the mail today. I'm quite happy with the weight and look of the blade. It's sturdier and heavier than I expected, which is a plus. The blade came pretty sharp, although MY blade not as pointy at the tip as it is sharp along the edge. Of course, a few minutes on the stone will fix that. The lock at the base is nice and tight, though I'm sure it'll loosen with use. In the same vein, the arm of the balisong that DOESN'T have the latch attached to it(the arm you would hold whilst flippin') is quite a bit tighter than the other; in other words, the blade tends to stick in the "close position" after one attempts to flip it open. Unfortunately, that's the natural place the thumb goes after the initial motion(I only shaved off a little skin from my thumb, no blood). But again, that SHOULD loosen with use. If not, a flat head screwdriver or something should loosen that pin up. The tip and the blade sticking is the reason for only 4 stars. I totally recommend this balisong for ANYONE, whether just getting into balisongs, or looking to add a mid-tier blade to the fold.
