How Did They Do That
"Difficult to understand how Contender could combine premium materials (D2 tool steel, ball bearing hinge, G10 scales, crossbar pivot lock-up) in one knife and stainless steel liners, carbon fiber inlays and good jimping) with very good build quality. This knife compares with knives retailing for 4 to 5 times as much. Go figure. An out autstanding deal."
Exactly what I expected
"I like the pivot lock. A lot. Completely one handed use, but be mindful closing it, keep your fingertips safe! Didn’t care for the “cleaver” design of the blade. I modified it. Ground it off, sharpened it how I wanted it. Was damn sharp out the box! D2 steel, I know it will keep an edge and give me years of service. I have a Benchmade with the pivot lock. Why I purchased this. It’s nice, but this one? Opens and closes better, at a quarter of the price. Very satisfied with this purchase."
