I got 2 because of the area in which I live, my pale complexion, and cause I can throw hands with 85% if needed. These are amongst a little Happy 40th BDay to me from me.

JED
Made to fit small hands and a small pile of paper, it's very lightweight. I wouldn't attempt to use it for anything other than that. Just a small paperweight.

Good fun
A tiny bit smaller than expected. Still will serve the purpose with no problem. Not sure how long the finish will last with much use on the desk.

Like a gloooove!
Lightweight, good protection even against solid, concrete paper work.

Papers beware!
I bought this as part of the BOGO deal. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. I got 2 for the price of 1 which is money well spent. It's not as heavy as other comments have stated but I think that is a good thing. Even the thickest of fingers should have no problem with fitting and grip.

High Quality Construction for Low price
Heavy Duty solid aluminum carbide. Not Soft, and has superior impact absorption. Fits large fingers as well. And will weigh down paper too.

Perfect fit!
Fit snugg like a glove! No doubt these will be used for beating up paper!

Pretty good
I didn't really know what to expect in quality but when I got this in the mail I was very pleased and as far as paperweights go, they do their job. I wouldn't suggest using these on people or animals because at least in Texas that's a felony. But if that's what it comes down to I doubt these'll disappoint.

Great for Active Duty
Bought this as a novelty, just for looks, but found out that I didn't have all that much paper to hold down, so gave it to an active duty buddy stationed in Afghanistan, and let me tell you it did a hell of job beating down Counter-Terrorism paperwork, and boy was it a conversation peace, It will get people talking alright! He had the locals talking to him like he was David Letterman ;) and the black matte finish made it not stand out at night...on his desk... Just remember to carry it around state-side, you need to be Millitary, Police, or have similar credentials.

PAPERWEIGHT
Not as heavy as I would have liked but overall a good deal.

Paperweight? Eh. Fingerweights? Oh Definitely!
I've seen better and more decorative paperweights, but imagine my surprise when I found how well these babies fit your knuckles! And what a crunch when you slam them down on some blowing papers! No-doubt-about-it! Those papes aren't going nowhere!

Not bad, but not the best
I just got this "paperweight" in the mail today, and was overall please, but I'll have to say that these aren't the best. The fact that they're black makes them very cool and ideal for beating down "paper" if one ever finds themselves in a situation to need to do so, but they could be a bit heavier (weighs exactly 3.095oz/0.193lbz, so not half a pound as claimed). They could have also been cut/milled out a little cleaner and smoother, as there are still little unshaven fragments around the finger holes (at least on mine). Could slightly damage fingers if ever quickly taken off one's hand, but no biggie (hey they were 9 bucks). There is also a little nub on one side, so they may stand up on their own a little bit (for holding down paper of course). And $8 shipping? They weigh less than half a pound; no need for that overtly large envelope for that tiny box and "paperweight". HOWEVER despite that little bit of criticism, yes they aren't perfect, but I am certain that they will get the job done "beating down paper" *wink wink* if need be. And yes I would recommend this to a friend. Check your local laws first before bringing them out of your home to defend yourself from that pesky "paper" :)

Very cool
This black "paperweight" is pretty cool. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because there could be some improvement in shape and weight. It would be more comfortable if the edges were all rounded more and if it were even heavier. But, as is, it is actually very functional and nice. They are 1/2 lb so they are plenty heavy, and on my hand it fits and does not hurt to wear it at all. I just think the design could be more ergonomic with rounded edges to make it even more comfortable. I put it on and punched a few things and it was actually comfortable. So, very cool and I would recommend this to anyone.

Almost got busted.
I carried this thing a while back while on leave in a rough neighborhood (kinda late coming back from a party.), a cop asked me what I was doing and to turn out my pockets. He found these then asked to see some I.D I pulled out my military I.D and told him its legal for active duty to carry these and showed him the law on my phone. Got away with a stern warning not to brandish them and he gave it back and left. So unless your military or law enforcement don't carry these on you.

Use it at work
Makes a fine paper weight that sends an unspoken message. That's why I actually use it as a paper weight.

Awesome
Very nice quality. Using on a punching bag that is wrapped with duct tape. Nice impact on the bag

You could rearange someone's paper with these
I got a pair a little while back and they are pretty sweet. The first thing I did was go outside and punch a tree with them. The notch I made in the tree was quite impressive, and the best part was that it didn't hurt! The only downside is that they are a little lighter than I expected, but overall they will beat down any pesky papers, or trees for that matter :)

Paperwork is Secured
This paper weight is a solid one piece construction, that fits even my Large fingers. It is lightweight, which is both good and bad. I would prefer the unit the be thicker and heavier, but the advantage is that the lighter weight makes it easier to store, transport and put in convenient locations for easy access. I would recommend this paperweight. Also it is featured at a very good price.

Decent
Good for the price but i thought the metal would be a little thicker.

Not big enough
I’ve dealt with a few brass knuckles and this one is the worst one i’ve had. It looks nice but it is more of a PAPER WEIGHT. The main problem is that the bottom part isn’t protruding enough to fully contact the palm. This lack of contact makes it incredibly uncomfortable to hold securely without putting a lot of pressure in making a fist and since it doesn’t contact the palm well it puts more force into knuckles instead of spreading out the energy when striking. 2 stars because it’s in the shape and has the purpose of doing its job but simply doesn't execute it well enough and i will need to buy another to replace this.

Made for tiny paper
Very small. I couldn't get my fingers through the holes. I gave it to my wife, for her papers.

Okay..., for a paper weight.
It is ok for a paper weight but little else. So light weight I thought it was made from aluminum (maybe it is). I got it on sale for $5.00 You get what you pay for...., A paper weight.
