The Forged Warrior Chinese Nine Ring Broadsword stands out as a dramatic interpretation of a time-tested Chinese weapon design. Its dadao-style blade is crafted from two-toned stainless steel and finished with a scorched look that gives it a timeworn, commanding presence. Nine metal rings are threaded loosely along the spine, adding audible sound and extra weight that enhance its imposing presence during motion. Measuring 25 1/2 inches, the blade balances visual weight with controlled reach. The two-handed handle is wrapped in wax cord to provide a secure and comfortable grip during use or display. A distinctive guard transitions cleanly into an open-ring pommel that tapers to a pointed end, reinforcing the sword’s bold profile. At 42 1/2 inches overall, the broadsword has commanding size without feeling unwieldy. It comes with a matching scabbard equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap for convenient carry and storage.

Real deal

"Man what a beast. Touched up the edge, it was sharp but wanted to refine it. This thing will decimate mats and bamboo. Well built and accurate. Best deal I found anywhere, shipped fast."

As described, good for the price

"I am well pleased with this sword. My only complaint lies within the hand guards. When doing vertical axial swings left to right. The extra length hand guards tend to want to dig into the shoulders."

Heavy Metal

"Just received this blade. Very heavy, it is more of an axe than a sword. It is unlikely that the Chinese peasant dao contained so much steel. There are more imperfections: carbon forge residue on the blade, (which was easily cleaned), blade rings not entirely closed (no big deal). Both imperfections probably reflect the history and construction of this dao. The scabbard is adequate but complicated to use with three closure points. I think I would have preferred a well-built nylon scabbard. With these imperfections, I still cannot dislike this blade. It is unique, historically unique, ... and I really like this thing. It is definitely a weapon - not a display piece. I just can't find enough dislikes to not give it 5 stars."

Cool but could be better

"I give it a 7 out of 10. For the price i would love to have seen a little more love put into this product. Half of the rings arent fully closed and the blade looks like its been sitting on a work bench for a year or two Still eye catching from a distance and still sturdy and sharp. Thats a bonus in my book. Also, i'll say the wrapping on the handle is pretty cool. Cant wait to see how long it holds up."
