It is not meant to chop trees down or to be thrown it wouldn't Target it will break eventually but I have chopped on landscape timbers throwing it into trees all kinds of things and this Thai gladius is an epic spear built to last generations the two edge blade makes it an unrivaled weapon and piercing any Target whether it's metal or wood. Weapons are made for the defense of yourself and others and this will get the job done. You can rest a little bit lighter knowing that this is close by. "The design of this sword intrigued me so I broke down and bought one. It was money well spent. A well thought out design. When choked up by the blade it has perfect balance, making it quick and nimble one handed. Two handed grip on the lower half of handle provides a devastating cut. Use it for zombie decapitation as well as brush hogging."

Light and nicely balanced. Reminds me of the Zulu extended sword of choice; a formidable blade weapon for both 1 or 2 hand hold tactics."
