Our sai is far superior to any other sai on the market today. It is made of steel forgings with an eight faceted blade. This type of balanced blade is highly recommended by experts.
Good sai at a great price. Great for practice and sparring.Handle wrapping looks great, but is of very poor quality. Not a great pair of sai,but at this price they are amazing,so I would give them a 5 star rating.Worth twice the price at least,
They will look wonderful on my wall next to the fan and the rest of my Japanese art and swords
Nice set of sai. This set has a good feel and enough weight so it will move well when moving around your hands. Very good start up set.
This Sai Set is amazing! While I was waiting for them to be delivered I found a stand for the set and it was a nice surprised when they both arrived at the same time! My favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle is Raphael and the Sais were his weapon. So this will go very nice with that theme in my apartment!
These are the real deal. I couldn't believe it the pictures don't do them justice. So glad I got these for myself as early birthday present.
As a kobudo practitioner I feel these said are prefect for training, with the exception of the handle wrap these are well made and underpriced
I am not trying to down grade this item. If you are looking at said than you know what a runs. I ordered these because they were in sale and were advertised as stainless steel. The good is they are weighted and sturdy. The bad is they are for more of a youth artist. They do not have room enough in the yuko for me, a medium handed man to use them. I am hoping I can bend them uniformly without damaging them. They good for the money, but not good for medium or bigger hands as sold. Hope that helps.
Had never owned a sai and I was very satisfied with the set. They have a nice balance and are sturdy. The gold wrap on mine was not as is in the product picture. It was much thinner and I think better looking. Tried them out on a practice dummy and they delivered solid blows I would not want to be on the receiving side of. I would say they are well worth the purchase price and will make a nice addition to your collection.
love them. awesome. makes three pair for me. that's how much i love these. as always TS delivered on the quality, beauty and lightning speed of delivery. 10 stars!!!!!!!!
I'm really impressed with the feel of these in hand. Heavy, durable and easy on the eyes. By far my favorite purchase from budk yet.
True Swords FAN here with another honest review. These Sai are very nice and came well polished. Nice weight distribution and overall design. Plus, they look cool as hell! Still learning how to handle these but this is a nice set. Traditional slightly pointed prongs, a nice leather like wrap with gold trim (I fear the trim wont hold up with much use but I will coat it with a poly resin that should protect and prolong) and good thickness of the steel. It could certainly put a hurtin on someone if they were hit with one of these! Overall Great buy!
These sai are awesome! I got them and they immediately became the favorite of my collection. They have good balance and feel great in your hands. Very sturdy and more than worth the money.
Well balance and well made. The only complain I have is that one of my hand wrap on my Sai started to come off loss. It's still a very good a Sai for the price and I still recommend this to anybody.
Very good pair of sais, very solid. Well balanced. The only thing I don't like is the handles leave a weird smell on my hands.
These said are solid. They have just the right feel to them and the perfect balance. They may be rounded but they can do so much damage if you try. Tough, good looking, and fun to practice with.
The sais are the perfect fit. I hadn't handled a pair in more than twenty years. After about 5 minutes I was back in my groove. The weight is very good and very balanced. They look great during forms and create enough flash during classes that the younger students are very interested and want to try them out. A great way to introduce another weapon to the class. After students see the practicality of the weapon they get very interested.
Not too heavy, not too light. My other set of octagon sai are much heavier by comparison. I actually like this set better, and these were a fraction of the cost. At this price I will definately buy another set and grind and carburize the points along with a good re-wrap for the handles. My weapon of choice is the single-handed viking axe. These sai make a perfect complement and can be thrown with shocking accuracy and effect.
I use this sai set daily for practice against a live opponent. A rounded point is good for keeping your partner safe during combat training. Nice weight to them and very durable. Mine have taken hard hits from swords for over two years now and are still in good condition.
The Sai is a defensive weapon, there is no need for a sharp point, imagine the damage you can do with out a fatality, these are a great way to learn offensive defense, this set particularly, this set is a great buy.
Not bad they don't have a point like the sais seen on most movies, but they are actually correct these are octagonal sais which never had the point. I mean you got to remember these were farming tools before weapons.
Buy this product. Awesome grip. Awesome price. This is the best pair of Sai I've ever bought.
Don't know a lot about sai, but they are heavy solid steel and they would certainly hurt if you got hit with one.
nice good for training and getting used to.
not sharp but thats ok. The handle wrap is tight and the sai's have a strong feel to them. Again a steal for the price.
over all, nice pair of sia. my only issue is that they are very heavy without having a point to them. in my perspective, if a weapon is going to have that much weight to it, it should be a battle ready model. very nice set of sai for the price
Amazing! I put only 3/5 because I wanted to make sure you know the picture is wrong look at the Sai's in Said display for the real Sai you will buy. other news, There great! I love them, and will use them very much!! Thank you ture swords it is really a 5/5!!!!! :D
These are a great value for the money. Excellent weight with great feel in the hands. Only complaint is that i wish they had a point of some kind. the tips are flat.
I don't really have any complaints on this purchase. I've always wanted a pair of Sai ever since watching the Ninja Turtles as a kid. I expected the tips to be a little pointier, but I'm sure there are ways to fix that if I really want to. They are heavy in the handle, but I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be and feel good. The wrappings are definitely comofrtable and the metal seems sturdy. 5/5
I just received mine and I am greatly impressed. They are heavier than I expected and the golden wrapping is much thinner than in the picture. All the tips are flat but they can still pierce a hay bale quite nicely. Good job trueswords!
Excellent!! They are made from great quality steel, when you tap them together you hear a keen sound. very durable the have good weight as well. after you learn the use of the weapon you can sharpen the tips with a grinder if you want to.
Very nice set ot training Sai's. Good weight and balance to these, and good grip too. If you want to learn how to sue sai's this is a great deal!
i'm not mary beth that is my mom. she ordered these for me. first thing the handles, on mine atleast, are different they're mostly solid black with a thin gold wrap no where near as large in the photo. aside from that they're awsome. my friend came over and he trains with sai in tung su do and he said they were better than the ones he payed like $40 for.
i feel more and more like a ninja..... =D

its a good thing these dont come sharpened, everyone needs to get used to weilding the sai first before combat use-- unless you really want to sharpen them, i cant really stop you...

the metal is very easily dented, but the weapon itself is not easy to bend-- so scratches and bite marks are easily inflincted but the spike wont curve or ruin .... but ofcourse i have not put the sai through intense battery yet, keep in mind all metal put through enough force will bend....

great deal, i am very happy with my purchase and was not paid to lie about my review.... =D
I love 'em. These are the best products that I have bought here, 'cept the iron reaver blade. I recomend them oh so much.
