"I cant say enough good about my experience with BUDK on this purchase and how fast they shipped this out even with the special engraving , SAME DAY , Heck Yes boys AND girls at BUDK ! You are so very AWESOME :-) I am very pleased with my new Rapier , VERY PLEASED , especially at price point , major bang for my buck for sure . It is well built for its intended purpose , Rapier Fencing Practice , and of course Admiring along with my other 100 Swords and Knives , yes Girls do love Pointy Sharp Stuff too silly boys ;-) It has nice balance for price point as well , and is finished quite nice too . It is Rat-Tail just be aware , this is No Toledo Spain made Rapier by any means , but that being said it is built strong . I do plan on JB Welding the entire Hilt together to make the Tang very strong nonetheless , and it will serve me well am sure of it . This Rapier is quite accurate History Wise , as the prior Evaluator pointed out , its a very fair example of a Rapier from the Renaissance Era . I have ZERO complaints on its construction , and I know my $hit . The 3 Ring Basket is polished steel and is Chromed over just so you know its not just polished alloy . ABS does not go on Rapiers but I was going to do Bone Handle anyway so no disappointments at all . It has great flex as well and is a nice profiled piece of SS blade . Made in China just so you know . And for $100 bones plus insurance shipping and engraving , its a great deal , the best deal there is out there , period. This is my very first purchase with BUDK and I am very impressed and YOU all will see more business from me for sure , and THANK YOU BUDK very much for the EXCELLENT packing job !
