"Clone of the zombie tools reaper that costs 500$-600$ This is fantastic for the price! The only gripe I have with it is, it is only tempered on the blade. Right when the tang starts, the tamper ends and it is so floppy, bendy! if you do not use the crazy heavy metal unnecessary handle scales, it will bend and stay bent, if you strike anything! I am working on making mine into a naginata. I love the full tang and the overbuilt aspect of it, especially for the price! it’s just the temper that takes it down a few notches. Just like a lot of other budget blades, if they just did that little extra thing to do it right, it would be perfect for the price. If they tempered it down through the tang, I would buy 5 and give it 5 stars! These are so cool!"

"The unit arrived intact without damage, on time. Customer service was excellent. The blade is very thick, razor sharp and appears to extend the entire handle length. The scales are made of steel, about 1/4 inch thick making the unit quite hefty, at just over 5lbs. It's a bit awkward to handle due to the weight. I am thinking about taking it apart and using the blade on a 6 foot ash pole to make a glave with. Without unwrapping the handle I cannot tell how it's joined together, I hope it is done with steel pins, welded to the scales then sanded flat. If it truly is spring steel it's a bargain. I think it likely is spring steel, it's certainly high carbon. The sheath is well made, real leather, no rivets. More of a blade protector for transport. Sheath fits tight. I am well pleased with budk and intend to do business with them again. They have good quality control and timely shipping, in my case ups which I enjoyed as they come right to the house."
