Product Description
The ancient Celts were fearsome warriors who relished the sting of sword-to-sword battles. This authentic reproduction features a stainless steel 19" mirror polished blade with a deep blood groove. The handle is constructed of a hardwood grip with brass plated spacers and crescent guard and pommel.
This sword fits the traditional Celtic dress sword perfectly. And it is not dull it is exactly as sharp as a sword of its weight should be. Very powerful.

Good
This sword is good and worth the money my complaints would be the handle came slightly warped[barley noticeable] good size good weight and to my surprise a good edge an excellent sword.

The shortsword as a whole is impressive. although MY guard came very slightly crooked, it was not enough to affect the sword's performance in any way. The sword itself is a bit blade-heavy, but This is how these Celtic swords were made at the time. upon closer inspection of the blade, i was pleasantly surprised to see that the sword seemed to be Battle-sharpened, that is, Sharpened enough to cut well but not enough to make the edge thin or fragile. were it not for the shine of the blade, the engravement that read "pakistan", and the fresh smell of leather that i love so much on the sheath, i would have thought that this blade actually came from Medieval Ireland.

Celtic Dress Sword
My Girlfriend bought me this sword for Christmas. I'm a lifelong sword buff and this was the first piece in my collection. It is a great and beautiful piece. Definitely a great sword. (oh the sheath is black leather not brown)

Celtic Dress Sword
After having read the reviews, I have to say that my luck with BudK has been outstanding over the years (more than I wish to admit to!**grin**). Each and every knife, sword or piece of armor has been in perfect condition and always with the items' quality far exceeding the price and this one is no exception. All in all, very nicely balanced and with a respectable edge to the blade.

how awesome it is
I just got this sword and is it awesome of course!!!! It's not loose at all handle a bit different from the picture it's actually a grayish sorta wood and the sheath is black but even better like that. I got this sick sword because it looks like a greek mythology sword which i love about it definitely worth the money i would even spend more $100 on it if it was worth that much. Do your self a favor and buy it!

Barbaric!
I recently purchased this sword and was very impressed. MINE was clean and shiny, and looks very similar to the sword of Celtic chieftain Vercingetorix that is portrayed on his statue in France.

Very nice blade. I got this for a gift for a friend and after inspecting the sword I did not want to give it up. Very clean, very simple, but at the same time, very elegant. All around great sword.

one of my first swords, but i would say a great buy, the black stained wood handle looks and feels great, very comfortable to hold, and not too heavy either. also pretty darn sharp. the sheath is a little plain, but for a price like this you cant complain. all in all a great sword. i would recommend this for sure.

Celtic Dress Sword
The blade has a overall twist in it, not bent left or right, just twisted. The rivets on the handle are a little crude, but in a way, they give it an authentic, used, look. Bottom line: I'm glad I purchased this.

Well worth the money
I bought this for a short sword to go with my ensemble for the ren-faire and it seems perfectly suited for that purpose. The only drawbacks on this piece that I can find is that the edges are totally flat and 'PAKISTAN' is boldly stamped on the blade, but I believe I can remedy those shortcomings. The scabbard needs to be doctored up a bit as well but is not hopeless. I've given this sword a few swings and nothing rattles or shakes, it is pretty solid but definitely not a battle ready weapon. If you are looking for a display or accent piece, this is it.

Nice weight and feel, a few scratches on the sword but overall a nice sword.

Great sword. There are a few things wrong with it, but nothing that you would notice unless looking for them....

The tip of the blade is slightly bent to the one side.
Some of the beads on the handle are placed unevenly.

Also note that the handle is wooden (It doesn't look wooden in the photo) and very heavy. So other than these things... It is a great buy.

Pretty good sword
Bought this for my sister-in-law's dress blade. It is very sturdy feeling and the parts all seem tight, but it looks as though there may have been dirt in the moulders when they were casting the parts (Small pits in the brass). It's a great starter piece to a collection, but those looking for high-end swords at cheap prices might just want to keep looking.

Good sword for its price but...
Just got this sword in the mail today. Nice looking swords except for the fact that its not as polished as it appears in the photo. At the guard is a pretty distinctive gap between the guard and the blade. Lots of dirt and muck all over the handle and guard. Perhaps to make it look like it came streight from an archeological dig site. However the photo makes it look all clean and polished. Not razor sharp but it does have a good edge on it. Better edge than I was expecting. Good weight to it, and possibly good thrusting power. All in all, for the price, its a good buy. If you want a great sword your simply NOT going to find one at this price. You get what you pay for, simple as that.

Great wide blade. It's very pretty and the handle is great. The sheath leaves something to be desired though, but that could be because it can only hang up and down and there's no way to secure the sword in the sheath. I prefer something that lets it move with me. Great sword otherwise though!

The blade itself is beautifully finished but the brass corrodes fairly quickly. Its a great addition to my collection, but I wouldn't recommend it as anything other than decoration. The edges are machined and its not possible to sharpen it without damaging the finish. Its still a very nice sword and a great addition for anyone.

*****
It's an alright sword, definetly not the best in my collection. The hilt guard had a loose bolt and the hilt itself was coated in grit. Its worth the price but its definitively a fixer upper.

Decent sword
This is a nice sturdy sword. Good weight to it. It is pretty clean, no dirt on it. The guard was a lot bigger than I was expecting and there are several imperfections on the guard and pommel. Decent sword for the price.

Glowing Reviews?
This is a major case of, "You get what you pay for". The sword arrived with some kind of dirt or something on the hilt, and grit on the blade. I was obliged to clean the whole thing with alcohol.
