Bloodwood Sub Hilt Knife - Gil Hibben Toothpick

Hibben is one of my favorite knife makers, and his toothpick designs are among my favorites from the designs that he has produced. Among those I own is his Old West toothpick, which is fantastic as well. This one, with the sub-hilt, is absolutely fantastic. I can't provide any reliability or endurance data, but can say that production fit and finish is excellent, super-sharp OOTB, just a beautiful blade if you find such things beautiful as do I. The satin finish all over is just superb. Some don't care for natural handle scales but personally I like either style, and as Hibben seems to favor natural (Pakkawood FTW), this one is done masterfully as well. It feels great in the hand. Calling the blade substantial in terms of size and capability is an understatement. Couldn't recommend it higher.

One heck of a knife. Scary sharp blade. Be very careful when you handle it. I didn't even know I touched the blade and was bleeding. This thing is a monster. One of the best knives I have ever added to my collection. Well worth it.

This is a beast of a knife. Beautiful wood handle. Beefy good weight to it. Insanely sharp WARNING: this knife is so sharp you can cut yourself without notice. I know cause I did. I didn't even notice I had touched the blade and then I saw blood. So please be careful when handling this knife

This knife is truly a MONSTER! Thick, wide and sturdy. The blade came "arm shaving" razor sharp. The handle is made for large and X-large hands. Small or even medium sized hands fingers "won't" reach around it's thick and sturdy grip! I was very surprised and DELIGHTED when I received it! This big bad boy is NO JOKE!!!

This toothpick knife beats all others with it's addition of the sub-hilt. You not only have the flexibility of a toothpick design, but the sub-hilt locks your grip for easier grasp for heavy use.

This is a very good well balanced and quality made knife it arrived very sharp and has a great weight to it this is my first Hibben knife and I love it and will get years of service from it and pass down to my son i am looking forward to buying more Gil Hibben knives
