Work of art and tool come together

"The grand boys were introduced to cheap Bush Craft knives and nylon sheaths to learn how to use and respect a blade. The quality and craftsmanship of this blade will introduce the concept of admiration and pride that could be found with a good quality knife. When learning to wield a larger blade control can become a safety concern, and the design of this handle addressed that beautifully as it negates the possibility of slipping out of the hand. Combined with the mystique of owning a Bowie knife, this will be a Christmas gift they will treasure long after their grown men."

Papa’s Mustang

"I really like how all of your knives and the rest of your art pieces are so beautiful. With the wood and stainless steel blades. You guys are so amazing! I wish I was able to do what you do. I can tell that you love what you do! I’ve collected knives over the years from swap meets and flee markets. This is the first brand new knife that I’ve bought. I’m 63 and I still have the Buck Knife I bought when I was just 16. I think that I like to get an Axe of some kind. I have your catalog. Do you carry any other types of Axes? I’m glad that I found you on the Web. Thank you for making your artworks available to us Americans. Bryan James AKA Papa Mustang. 😎"

Bigger then anticipated, Sharper than imagined

"This knife is a marvel. Massive blade with a thick, solid handle and rich blood wood patterns on adorning it. Being a child of Gil Hibben, this blade is not only beautiful but functional! Sharp right from the box with a tough sheath. This beauty is the real deal!"

Fantastic knife!!!

"Hibben is one of my favorite knife makers, and his toothpick designs are among my favorites from the designs that he has produced. Among those I own is his Old West toothpick, which is fantastic as well. This one, with the sub-hilt, is absolutely fantastic. I can't provide any reliability or endurance data, but can say that production fit and finish is excellent, super-sharp OOTB, just a beautiful blade if you find such things beautiful as do I. The satin finish all over is just superb. Some don't care for natural handle scales but personally I like either style, and as Hibben seems to favor natural (Pakkawood FTW), this one is done masterfully as well. It feels great in the hand. Calling the blade substantial in terms of size and capability is an understatement. Couldn't recommend it higher."

Q&A

Is this blade sharp or can it be sharpened on both edges? In the pictures I can see the edge cut on the bottom of the blade, but I can't tell if it has an edge cut on the top.
Hello! This item is keenly sharp with an edge, so you can sharpen it more if you wanted too. Have a wonderful day!
