To bury the hatchet is a phrase derived from a Native American custom of burying a tomahawk after peace had been reached with an enemy. This hatchet offers a 5 1/4" razor sharp 420 stainless steel blade. It also features an offset suregrip handle that is made from very durable, impact resistant ABS. Perfect utility for the outdoor enthusiast. Includes a blade sheath. 12" overall

Get what you pay for.... Reviewed by randy archer on Oct 06, 2010   4 out of 5

So I get the "Hawk" Hatchet and I was initially dismayed by the "sheeyith" pun intended. It was made out of diaper fabric and lasted the length of time it took to fasten to my belt and voila', it was kaput. The hatchet on the other hand was decent when I took it to prune my mulberry tree. It made short work out of a laborious task with the branches. But for $8.00 Not a total loss. I would safely say it paid for itself.

Ax is balanced and very sharp. Head is liteweight compared to wood camp ax. Overall very good especially for making kindling wood. Toss the sheath and wrap the head in something self-made.

impact resistant Reviewed by raymond on May 28, 2009   2 out of 5

Poor quality handle, the handle broke on mine the first day the key words here is impact resistant. I still have the blade, it seams to be the best part im going to try to make a new handle for it; Yes its true the sheath is less than cardboard.

Great Hatchet Reviewed by Candy Man on Dec 16, 2008   4 out of 5

This is a very nice hatchet and I like the ABS suregrip handle. It fits great in the hand, but the sheath is pathetic. It broke twice in less than a week. The snaps come out of the leather and the belt loop ripped right out.
