"The M1849 issued by Honshu is not a museum grade reproduction. It fall short in terms of measurement and material used by the Ames Company, the original Government contractor of 1000 pcs. For Mounted Riflemen in 1849. Your product, manufactured by Union Cutlery (Honshu) is of top quality. They were a major manufacturer of U. S. M1 bayonets in W. W. 2. I'm pleased with the quality and BUDK service. Thank you all!"
"As described, well made, passable steel, rough sharpened (easily fixed), good sheath as well. Haven't had a problem with Honshu products yet. Reasonable shipping time, well packaged."
"Excellent knife. Both the knife and the sheath are very well made. For hiking and camping, I would recommend attaching it to your backpack for easy carry while on the trail. As for camping, I will use it as a general purpose knife for cutting chores around the camp. When not in use, store it in the sheath."
