"The blade is uniformly tapered when I got it. So it’s twice as heavy as a longsword or katana of similar size. Also the balance point is farther up the blade making it a little harder to wield. The blade hilt and cross-guard construction is great. And although it’s so heavy I may end up just using it for strength practice, It has no difficulty hacking through the toughest of targets."
