"I must say an edge as keen and point as fine as those on the Honshu D2 Seax is a bit intimidating. Anyone who is not practiced in using large, sharp blades should take extra care lest they lose an ear. I cannot find even one small flaw in either the seax or scabbard. I will definitely be getting more of the United Cutlery's Honshu line as they become available in D2 tool steel. The D2 Gladius is already available and I plan to order it next week. The collar on the sheath is difficult to snap around the seax's handle. It was an easy fix to rub in a little oil and work it in for a few minutes to soften it. I left it snapped close around the handle for a few days. Now, it snaps closed easily and snugly. The oil is very thin and evaporates and dries quickly, so no slick handle. I simply adore the Honshu D2 Tool Steel Seax and Scabbard."
