I hope this says enough.

"Do you spend a day, trying to break (actually break) each sword you buy? I do. My testing is the strength of my arms striking bumper vises, concrete pillars and rail lines with edge, flat and spine. The first gets the worst. Honshu does not make easily breakable equipment. I have given their blades to my family."

Awesome sword

"I like the design of the blade and the rugged handle. It's very sharp too. I also have the matching Tonto. I liked them so much that I also ordered the Katana too."

Excellent Piece

"Great modern Wakizashi. Handle is just a smidge too short. Would like to get two fingers above the sub hilt. Definitely no a deal breaker. Well done on workmanship and service. Thanks!"

A Blend of Tradition and Modern Craftsmanship

"The Damascus Sub-Hilt Wakizashi from Honshu seems like a significant addition to their lineup of modern and functional weapons, especially for those of us who appreciate the blend of tradition with contemporary craftsmanship. The use of Damascus steel for the blade not only gives it a striking look with its unique pattern and color but also promises durability and sharpness. It's refreshing to see a design that doesn't compromise on toughness, with a carbon steel handguard and sub-hilt enhancing the sword's resilience and usability. The attention to detail extends to the grip as well, featuring a textured and ridged TPR handle that promises both comfort and security during use—a crucial factor for any martial arts enthusiast or collector concerned about practicality. The inclusion of a carbon steel pommel with a lanyard hole is a thoughtful touch, offering customization options for carry or display. While I haven't had the chance to hold this wakizashi myself yet, the combination of materials and the premium wooden scabbard with faux leather wrapping suggests a product that's both aesthetically pleasing and functional. For its price point, the Damascus Sub-Hilt Wakizashi appears to offer a compelling mix of quality, design, and durability, making it a desirable piece for both collectors and practitioners looking for a sword that stands out not just on the wall, but in the hand as well."

Nice blade, needs a Midnight Forge version

"Love the Honshu series, totally awesome blades, if they make a Midnight Forge Sub Hilt version, I WILL DEFINITELY BUY IT"

Modern interpretation of a Wakizashi done right.

"Let's be honest, we are collectors here. We buy these things because they look cool. No one is going to be actually using this thing for real fighting. But DAMN this one does look cool, and the blade is actually done right, sharp and light. You could use this in your *insert fantasy apocalypse scenario here* if you needed to."

Benjamin H. (5/5)
