Product Description
Complete your Honshu collection with this powerful Honshu Full Tang Tactical Katana from United Cutlery. The razor sharp, high carbon steel blade will slice through almost anything and holds an edge like no other. The full tang blade extends the entire width of the sword - from tip to handle base - allowing for ultrapowerful slashing and chopping. It's not only great for sword collectors, but also makes one heck of a secondary weapon for soldiers in combat.
This katana version of a quality Honshu blade is just a longer tip version of the wakizashi blade. The handle is exactly the same, it should have a longer handle to compensate for the longer blade, and the blade is the same thickness and width when it should be taller... but I suppose even a top sword maker like Honshu is willing to cut cost when it can. As a result the feel is off balance. Too bad because the blade is of quality steel, just poorly designed. The wakizashi is the real deal and the blade to buy here, not the bogus katana.....

Really great sword.
The sword came out of the box really sharp, I think it is the best sword I own. The shipping wasn't the fastest but it was still worth it ten fold. If you want an amazing product at an affordable price, get this sword.

the sword for loping arms off
This is the sword made for loping ar5ms off because I had a deer and I cut its arm off easy with this cool sword but what sucks is you have to keep oiling it but its worth it so if you what a sword that can protect you if you get yea house broke in this is it.

Great combat swords, or any war.
This is a wonderful sword. Not a wall hanger. Solid, sharp and a great addition to any collection. I also have the shorter one.

good sword. but not 41" overall
Great looking sword, very sharp... only problem is that the description is misleading, the sword is not 41" overall its 38" overall. I unsheathed the katana and thought "this is small" I than measured it and was disappointed. The 3" difference is noticeable. I was pretty upset! ... they should change the product description and stop lying about the overall length of this katana

the real deal
Not just a wall hanger, but an honest to goodness sword. Maybe not top of the line but it is sturdy and capable. I can't say just how durable it is of course but I can say it is a good basic sword.

This is the lowest score I've given any of my purchases from True Swords and here is my main reason. This was a multiple item order so this sword was packed with other items into a large enough box to fit the length of the sword and the 3-4 other items along with the packing material. The packing material is little more than balled up heavy shipping wrapping paper (think heavy brown grocery bag) And usually this does pretty well. This shipment the contents was able to shift and the end of the scabbard snapped off (even though it was separately boxed). The sword was not damaged though and I repair things like cracked scabbards so this is my challenge. I found the sword was a five at least but the shipping dept needs to put bubble wrap into it's budget ensure the ends are well protected.

----

True Swords reply:

At the first mention of any concern we contacted our customer to ensure that their order experience is a positive one, and that any matters are well resolved.
