Built with the strength of a modern tactical blade and the unmistakable profile of a Japanese-inspired tanto, the Honshu Full Tang Tactical Tanto delivers a bold combination of rugged construction and collectible style. Its razor-sharp high-carbon steel blade features a full-tang design that extends through the handle, creating a solid and dependable foundation from the angular tanto point to the base of the grip. The handle is wrapped in black paracord to provide a textured, comfortable hold while reinforcing the sword’s streamlined tactical appearance. A solid brass handguard and coordinating brass accents create an eye-catching contrast against the dark handle and blade design, giving the tanto a refined finish that stands out in any Honshu or United Cutlery collection. Measuring 21 1/4 inches overall, this compact tactical tanto offers an impressive presence while remaining easier to display and store than a traditional full-length katana. A coordinating scabbard is included to help protect the blade and complete the presentation. Whether displayed alongside Japanese-inspired swords, full-tang blades, or other Honshu collectibles, the Honshu Full Tang Tactical Tanto brings together high-carbon steel construction, distinctive brass detailing, and an aggressive contemporary design.

Honshu Tanto

"This piece has a good look to it, which will match other Honshu swords I have. Since I do not care how sharp it is, I do not care about its cutting ability, that another reviewer complained about. A nice buy!"

So Dull ...You Can Ride to Town on It

"This is a nice little addition for most collections. Obviously, it's no Paul Chen Hanwei .. However, for the price .. it's a decent little blade. The blade fits too tightly into the saya .. but, just like an earlier commenter wrote, that is easily remedied. The only major flaw is that, at least mine, the blade was dull. I am not talking about it not being "razor sharp". Rather, I'm talking dull .. as in you can tightly grasp the blade and pull it .. and, NOT cut yourself .. That is something that can be remedied. However, when a blade is that dull .. it takes some time to profile it and get it sharp. Mine arrived with the brass badly tarnished. Again, that is a very easy fix that takes a few minutes. Solid little tactical .. I already have a Hanwei Forge tactical katana and wakizashi, which I believe to no longer be in production. Yet, this somewhat matches and completes the set. Since I don't gird my loins for battle, on a daily basis .. if I had it to do over again, I would have purchased the Honshu three piece set ... Are they as good as Chen's Hanwei Forge? No, but .. ALMOST and at a considerably lower price. I would recommend this to an acquaintance ... For the money .. even with the referenced weak points .. definitely worth the money."
