"I've had short swords from Sabersmith, which are very good quality, but something about the length and dimensions of this feel right, and at a fraction of the price. Centuries of experience went into the design of the pugio, which this is modeled after, and all the best parts come through in this. The palm swell feels a little weird at first, but before long you will wish all your knives/swords had it and you'll understand it was there for a reason. The point of balance is about 2 inches forward of the guard, which is just enough to add some heft to the swing of an already lightweight weapon without making it feel unwieldy. If you're wondering about the size, think of a hobbit sword and that's pretty much what it is."
