Beautiful blades
I was extremely impressed with my first scimitar, so I bought another one to have an identical pair. I also bought the Shamshir as I really like the weapons of the Middle East.

Bargain Price
Nice sword, fairly sharp out of the box, but had about an 8 inch section of edge with burrs, quick hone job took care of that. This is definitely combat ready as a thruster and slasher.

Magic
Easily the sharpest blade I've gotten blade from this site yet. VERY sharp. I was blown away. A high quality blade, ready for battle. I love it, and it's at a great price.

WOW, JUST WOW
I'm not one who normally reviews things, but this...WOW! This scimitar is beautiful. The blade is true and sharper than many I've bought for more. The wood on the handle is rich and solid. The sheath is leather that has been glued and stitched, with riveted loop and straps. It should hold up fine. I was surprised by the size, as it is larger than the photo looks. Overall, it is the best sword I've purchased so far. I'd have paid four times the price and still be happy with the value. Buy this sword...period!

CRUSADE!
I am currently working on a film documentary about the Crusades. This is the perfect piece to complete the effect. It's cheap. It's high quality. It's period accurate. I highly recommend to anyone who likes history, or just collecting swords in general. Beautiful.

Great Sword
I could not be happier with this purchase, absolutely beautiful in every way! The blade is sturdy and has a nice edge to it, and the handle is like looking at fine furniture! I look forward to showing it off to anyone who I can show it to!!

Knight Sword
This sword is a falchion, a European knight's weapon of the middle ages. Though the curved blade resembles a scimitar, it is entirely of European origin. You can look up "falchion" and find English, Italian, and German examples now in museums. This example is very good, with a thick, straight blade (wavy blades are a pet peeve of mine with the less expensive swords - this one is perfect!)and an excellent grip. I am very glad I bought this.

schimatar
The scimitar was great but the sheath was missing a snap. Not something I want to wear.

Great Price
Looks wicked, and the price is a give away. Not sharp, yet fairly nicely done in workmanship. A steal of a buy.

wish it was battle ready.....
This sword/scimitar is beautiful! the rosewood handle to the furniture on the hilt, at least Budk is honest and say in the description that this blade is half tang. hit it hard in battle or against something hard and it will break, (hence the price!) even though this blade can be sharpened and can wound or worse, imagine if they remade this one full tang(battle ready) this sword is would be elite!!!!

Saracen Sword
Do not ask me why the sword is said to be that of a knight, it is definitly the type of sword the Saracens (Muslims) would have used against the Crusaders. The sword itself is nice, but, for display only. It looks completely awesome crossed with my Knights Templar Sword. One other thing, it is a lot bigger than a real Scimitar really was, but i'm satisfied.

Cool, but lacking
It's an unusually stable blade for a half-tang, but as a whole it feels unfinished. The wood handle is nice, but the blade needs a lot of work. There is an edge that can be sharpened with some effort, but as is don't expect it to cut anything. Mine came with two small chips off the edge, probably the result of hurried machining. Certainly worth $30, it's a nice piece, but be prepared to do a bit of refining.
