"Ditto on Daniel Bigham's comments. It's been over 48 years since I held an M-3 in armorer school in MD, but my latest acquisition sure seems real. The real thing that I trained on was "gunmetal grey" and didn't look as good as the much darker Legends (TM) masterpiece (made by Germans). If you're on the fence, take the plunge! If for some bizarre reason it isn't your thing, you can surely sell or trade it."
"I just received this item. A short history: I was issued the real thing in the Army as a tank driver, so I know how it would be in terms of weight, looks and functionality. My God, this thing comes so close (despite the obvious difference of being a BB gun). Even my wife thought Budk made a mistake and sent the real thing. The weight is correct, the bolt moves accurately. Umarex even welded the pieces together! Then I shot it the shipping box... This beast is NOT A TOY! BB's went through the box and dented the table underneath. Follow all safety rules. Umarex isn't lying when they say it's almost the real thing. Thanks Budk. I'm very pleased with the M3."
