"I have bought many knives from BudK. I just got this item today it was a BOGO sale. Took them out of the box and very disappointed with the quality of the blades on both. They look real nice but are totally flat dull. Maybe o.k. for cutting butter but that's about it. I have bought some other knives M48 series made from United Cutlery and they were very good but their quality control on this item needs a lot of improvement. Shiny, yes. Looks good, yes. Edge on blade, flat dull including tip which is rounded and will take a lot of work to re-shape. If this is what U.C. is putting out, Mr. BudK, you need to speak with them about their Q.C. I have a order that I'm waiting on of another M48 product and if it shows up like these, flat dull, rounded blunt tip on the blade, they're going to be returned and I will not buy another U.C. product."

BOGO Awesome Deal

"Bought 2 on the BOGO special! I didn't even have it out of the box and my neighbor bought it from me! Glad I had a second to play with. Wicked spear point blade. You cannot go wrong buying this. It is a tad on the short side however the shear look and appearance of this beast will get attention. Be very careful with-drawing from rubbery sheath as I almost cut my finger off. This baby's SHARP & Thick. BUDK Rocks!"

"Really nice spear. I always wanted one but did not want to pay the price for it. I happened to see it on bogo and I could not resist. I gave the other one to my step son. You cant go wrong getting one for free. The blade is great quality. the only thing I wish is the staff to be longer but I guess they made it short for better balance and fighting specs. Cant use it for hiking unless you are a short person but would make a great weapon, in which was probably there intention when they created it. Over all its a great little spear."

"I took this beautiful walking staff/spear with me when I went hunting in the Wind River district of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. I did some testing of the blade and staff. with gentle push (kinda like just leaning into the target), I was able to sink the blade into a solid chunk of wood about 1 inch - not even trying! The balance is beautiful and the weight perfect. if dealing with an entity, well, give them their last rights - they'll need it!"

"This spear is awesome the handle is strong yet a certain amount flexible without breaking and the blade is very thick, overall this is a very solid spear. Usually the way products are really put up on a pedestal in their description is overdone but this one is actually better than the description."

"Spear came in today, and I was extremely pleased with what I got. The blade was razor sharp right out of the box. I did a few practice throws at a piece of ply wood and it pierced and stuck every time. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes throwing blades or just wants something just hands down awesome for their collection."

"The spear came sharp. The blade is surprisingly thick and heavy as well. The handle appears to be solid fiberglass. This appears to be on durable and dangerous weapon. I know I could have paid more attention to the description of the spear being 44 1/8" long. However, it spear was much shorter than I had anticipated. Nevertheless, it is a good addition to my collection."

"I have the black version of this spear and wrapped mine in paracord just like this version, it's freakin awesome! I can't wait to get this one. I've already put my name on the notifacation list!
