Absolutely worth the money! Reviewed by Jeremy Shadden on Sep 12, 2015   5 out of 5

I am very pleased with this knife. It did come a bit dull but just take a stone to it and you got a great edge. I used the Lansky blade medic that I have and also recommend to do the job. The inserts did contain the skinning knife, surgical tube for the slingshot arms, ruler, signal mirror and a survival kit in the hollow handle which contained matches, strike paper, fishing line and hook, sewing needle with three small lines of thread, two buttons and a safety pin, and a compass that WORKED! Sharpening stone on the was located under the cord wrap on the sheath as well. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, no buyer remorse on this item. It is a great deal! Buy it, you won't regret it.

NICE BLADE! Reviewed by Don on Jul 02, 2015   5 out of 5

Solidly built. Some knives similar to this have thinner blades. This blade is more substantial and will take rough treatment. ABS plastic sheath is a bonus. Buy it, you won't regret it.

I spend a lot of time in the woods , in some unpredictable situations. I need to feel secure knowing that I have the tools to make it on my own no matter what happens. This tool has the basic items I would need to survive. The sling shot was a nice surprise (not in the description). As far as the edges, get a good sharpener, learn how to use it, and it should be fine.

Love it!!! Reviewed by David on Feb 05, 2015   5 out of 5

This is the best survival knife I ever bought!!! It has everything you could want to survive out doors. Not shown in the pictures is a sling shot, ruler, survival signs if you want to alert someone that you need to be rescued and more. Now, if you don't buy this knife because the blade might not be sharp when you get it, all I can say is stop being a little girl and learn how to use a knife sharpener!!! What do you do with your knives when they get dull???? throw them away??? Give me a break, this knife is a great value for the money and all that it comes with!!!

New Gift Reviewed by Preston on Jun 18, 2012   4 out of 5

when i first received this knife it shocked me with its weight. The actual survival knife came a bit dull, and theres a sharpening stone on the back of the sheath underneath the paracord wrapping. The skinning knife had a decent edge to it, and theres something i noticed about the sheath, on the bottom there are two prongs. those two prongs are for a slingshot that i never received a band or ammunition for. Either way its still a great buy, thank you CH Kadels!

Good tool Reviewed by Robert Seitz on May 24, 2012   4 out of 5

I now have 2 of these knives the first was bought second hand and had some issues both blades were so dull they wouldn't cut cold butter and the survival kit was missing. I broke down and bought one direct from budK and the is full of handy goodies I liked the fact that the band for the slingshot is uncut giving it more uses as a tourniquet or for making a sling spear for fishing but the knives were still both painfully dull after about 40 minutes of sharpening both have and keep a keep edge so all in all a good tool
