Due to BudK's ridiculous sales, I now have six of these knives ( two 3 packs) and the same number of "the about the same" Fixed-Blade Triple Knife Set (17 BK2409) w/ black handles. So 12 more knives in my collection. I'll echo all the haters: These are not big knives. Actually 1 1/4 inches shorter than a standard American steak knife.
But that's great. I generally don't need a Rambo knife. If I do, I have a Ka-Bar machete collection. These are 7.5 inches long overall, have blades just over 4.25 inches long, and a 3 inch solid composite (plastic) handle/grip. Most probably an AUS-6 stainless steel (basically the same as 440A). Which is NOT a high grade, top end, modern multi-hundred dollar knife steel. But it is a REALLY good steel for a knife. They take a good edge, has decent edge durability, and best of all it's easy to sharpen with darned near anything. A whetstone, sandpaper, file, or handy rock. A working person's knife. They cut string, rope, baling twine, strips wires, open boxes and I guess would work just fine on a steak. I'm on a little piece of land in the center of Texas and something always needs cutting. I've been stashing these all over the place. One on the tractor, one in each shed, one right here on my computer desk. One each on the front and back porch.
Full price as of this wrting is $9.99 for 3 (THREE) knives. So $3.33 per knife. Totally worth it. Even better if you catch a sale and/or a shipping deal.
These are just some awesome knives not quite razor sharp but with a 2500 grit and a 3000 grit whetstone and a 37 1/2 angle it will be razor sharp!!
Have ordered many of these sets...all perfect condition. Looks like a toy but is well built and sharp. and they sell fast at my Flea Market business...have to order more...sold 7 assorted today.
Nice little set that would be great for young Cub Scouts or youths beginner knives. I have small hands and they swallow these handles up. A grown man might use these for letter openers. Appears to be good metal and they are sharp . The guards are a little loose. Would make great purse weapons for ladies. But hey, for 9.99 for three who can complain?
I received my triple set of the knives and was happy with what I received. These knives are for a small handed person. They have very good blades and sharpen up very well.
I bought for a friend and did not give them to him because small piece of shit worst perches ever don't buy scaled to size
I received the triple set and was very happy with the knives. They are worth the money, very fine set, very good blade, I am happy with the set.
