"I have a really big head, and I was surprised that this mask actually fit. It is tight, but it's supposed to be tight to keep out pollutants/contaminants. The inside is coated with some kind of gritty powder, and you must wash it out before you wear it. (Can you guess how I know that?) The rubber was not brittle or cracking in any way, and the filter allowed the flow of air. The rubber (or whatever it's made of) only stretches a little bit. It's not the easiest thing to breath in, as you must force the air through. But if you're in a situation needing to wear this, you should be grateful for breathable air."
