"This is not a bad machete for the money. It's straight 440, or the equivalent China grade. Ft. Worth is "home". There is a knife shop on the NW side that's been there for years on Camp Bowie. The original guy died and his family runs the new place on the NW Loop. Back in the 80's I found one of the original 25 by Crain for $400.00 and bought it. Crain was from Weatherford just up the road. This is a fair recreation of his knife for the money. This knife will not withstand hard use that other steels would hold up to, but it's a solid piece of steel for general use. It's not far off the original in shape size, and dimension. Should it break like the one reviewed on this site - have it replaced. For 50 some-odd bucks it's a good deal."
Nice blade but be careful.
"Having this piece in my collection, I decided to take it out and test it. Around the 5th swing into a log I test all my stuff with, it broke at the tang/handle and almost stuck in my leg. All I can say is be careful if you use this machete."
Nice copy of the Predator machete
"I missed out on the officially licensed machete from the movie "Predator" when you could still get them at a decent price, but I recently saw this in a BUDK catalog and couldn't resist. It is a really nice copy of the Predator machete and matches the original's specs almost perfectly, and at a great price, too. It is very heavy, and seems well made. I couldn't be happier with it!"

"Very heavy thick blade, handle needs some work for comfort, nice edge, great for chopping limbs lol. Worst thing is China is stamped on blade."

"This is a great for the price, it’s basically an exact replica of the predator movie Bowie knife, I liked the first one so much I bought a 2nd one, I’m using it as a display and not in field, if you want a field knife then that’s up to you, anyway if you want a movie display knife I’d get it, I’m happy with mine"
