The Single-Action Army Revolver was produced in several forms and many calibers from 1872 to 1940, with production totaling about 350,000 pieces. As its introduction coincided with the settlement of the Wild West, the names Peacemaker and Frontier Six-Shooter were popularized. This non-firing replica features a revolving cylinder and working ejector system. It has an all-metal barrel and faux wooden handle. This is an excellent replica to add to your historical gun collection.

5 Bullets?? Reviewed by Larry Beach on Mar 27, 2019   5 out of 5

There are two reasons for only sending 5 bullets. When these first came out, cowboys soon found out if riding a horse and if you got bucked off,and there was a live round in the cylinder under hammer, there was a good chance to shoot yourself in the foot, (OR worse) if your horse stumbled or bucked you off! People soon started carrying only 5 live rounds with the 6th cylinder empty. Secondly, these are a display piece and 5 bullets with one empty under hammer will show just fine without seeing the empty one..

This is an excellent replica. In case you are wondering about the difference between this and the .45 Cavalry revolver, also offered by Budk, this one's barrel is 2 1/8" shorter than the Cavalry revolver. Otherwise, they are identical - pewter-colored metal frame and wood grips.

NICE REPLICA GUN Reviewed by John Conwell on May 11, 2013   5 out of 5

Excellent ,inexpensive, replica of 4 3/4 inch bbl Colt Frontier Six Shooter. Circa 1880. Got a pack of dummy bullets with it. Mine contained 6 bullets. They fit just fine and loaded and ejected like the real thing. Checked other sources for this gun but Bud K had the best price. Nice gun. You can draw, cock, and fire and the cylinder rotates like a real one.

VERY VERY NICE Reviewed by Ace00731 on Aug 18, 2012   5 out of 5

This is a VERY VERY nice piece. I was even more impressed when I received it in the mail and opened it up. At first I though the handle from the picture was a lookalike plastic wood handle but its real wood! However I wish some bullets came with it. And the bullets that you can buy are only 5 bullets and this is a six shooter. Thats messed up...

This is a very well crafted replica revolver. Nice feel to it, nice weight, overall 10/10. I recommend this pistol to all replica gun enthusiasts.
