Poor quality sharpener

Very poor quality, the wheels are lose and don't put an even edge on the knife. I use a hand sharpener for about one minute and get a sharper edge than I did with this sharpener

scratched and ruined my knife, it was only a $20 timber rattler but still made me mad.

Good for soft steel

For $5 bucks not bad, good on my Chicago Cutlery knives as they are soft steel but my Spyderco knives do not sharpen on it. Sits well on counter so I am ok with it.

Sharpmaster Knife Sharpener

Useless as a knife sharpener....would make a nice handle for something!

Come on!

Looks great...but that's all .....The cutting blades are right and left and in a separately notched....bad idea; this ends up making the right and left bevels rippled. Also, the Stone wobbles; it's a wheel on a bad axle. I purchased this item because of the handle that allows for a safe secure grip. This would normally be the quality that separates this tool from many sharpening tools of its kind...but to my surprise the working parts are all flawed in there concept of a beveling a razor's edge. I have been extremely happy with all the knives and swords and didn't send this sharpening tool back as a courtesy....but I did place a large order for X - Mass and found shipping unsatisfory items back; by ground snail mail is havoc on all the savings for everything I have purchased to date( $65 bucks) I in the future will only purchase knives and swords or items that i have actually seen and handled before i purchase any none blade item.

I was very disappointed in this sharpener. I love your company but you need to discontinue this product. It reflects very bad on you. Everyone that has used this has nothing but complaints.

stocking stuffe???

I thought this would make a good stocking stuffer, but it's more like a trash CAN stuffer. Not only does it not work well.... but I marred up one of my favorite knives the first time I used it. I purchased a number of fine quality cutlery from Kennesaw, but you really should not sell a product that can damage a precious collection.

door stop

Best use of this sharpener is as a door stop it is not capable of sharpening anything. On the other hand it is very good at dulling anything you run thru it. At least i did not pay much for it 5$ and free shipping. The accusharp is a much better sharpener and generally costs about 5$ don't waste your money on this.

You Get What You Pay For

The old saying is true, you definitely get what you pay for. Very cheap item and it is awful. You could put a better edge on a knife with the packing that it came with. That being said, BudK is still awesome, the sharpener is not.
