The Shinwa Colossus Handmade Odachi is a commanding tribute to the grandeur of traditional Japanese blades, masterfully handcrafted to honor centuries-old sword-making techniques. Its 28 1/2” blade is hand-forged from Damascus steel, featuring over 1,000 layers that create captivating patterns across the surface. The blade's sweeping length is balanced by a tsuka wrapped in genuine black ray skin and deep blue ito, ensuring a secure grip that’s as comfortable as it is visually stunning. A cast tsuba, intricately designed with a lone macaque and an aged samurai, adds a symbolic touch of nature and warrior spirit to this striking sword. Every detail of the Shinwa Colossus reflects quality and tradition, from the polished brass menuki to the twin wooden mekugi that hold the blade firmly in place. The sword includes a hand-lacquered black hardwood saya with a glossy finish, completed by a matching blue sageo that complements the handle wrap. Measuring an impressive 39 1/2” overall, this odachi makes a powerful statement whether on display or wielded. With its elegant styling and meticulous construction, the Shinwa Colossus is more than a weapon—it’s a piece of living art.

Amazing quality.

"Sword arrived today (luckily I caught the mailman, guy was placing the package on the house next door.) This thing got amazing flex, tested cutting out of the box, and it just does a very good job at it. Got really nice flex to the blade. Looks beautiful, only thing that I'm nit picking about this is that the bamboo pegs and the sword handle didn't line up properly, so the peg messed up the (presumably real) rayskin wrapping a bit. Habaki came loose out of the box, but it's an easy fix, might've been loose due to transport. Overall amazing quality, and the price I got it for was a steal."

this was the first shinwa

"this was the first shinwa blade I ordered, and it is incredible. the blade is incredibly sharp and completely sturdy. even after cutting through multiple objects( wood, fruit, metal) it maintains its edge perfectly. this blade is definitely worth any price."
