"I own a few samurai swords and this one is my favorite. Many samurai swords are tip heavy or blade heavy. This sword is not one of those. This sword is 1060 carbon steel which is the perfect balance of strength and sharpness. The sword is around 2lbs and 3oz and the POB is about 4 inches from the hilt. Great balance and cuts like a razor. I used it against some hard thick cardboard tubes and it went through them like butter. Great sword and great price and its purple on top of it all! MH"

"Listen, "Purple Majesty" is a perfectly fitting name. This sword is regal. It stands out because of its royal purple. It is quite simply staggering in its beauty. I had to wait a long time to get it because it was out of stock. I picked it up a soon as BudK got more! Sharp...visually, as well as functionally. I'm glad that Shinwa makes its presence here in the United States this was. Longquan is on the map, and BudK cosigned....psssh! Golden tag team here folks. I've been shopping BudK since I was twelve. I'm fourty-one now. They know how to treat their customers, and keep the ferocious, and yet elegant, weaponry in stock!!"
