Blue fir review

"Well let’s start with the scabbard nicely made wood with a cool dragon etched into the wood then gilded with yellow or gold paint with red dot it actually looks better than I expected Not a decal so no issues with the scabbard now to the sword , I kept an open mind because of the price and the fact there was no mention of any hamon line so the main reason I bought it was the colored blade so that looks cool it appears to be Damascus steel then they some how in the firing or forging process turn the blade blue mine looks different than the photo online as they will all be different mine is more purple dark super cool but not exactly like they show , there is a hamon line and is not brushed on I believe it is what they are now calling a blow torch hamon which is acceptable for me on a slightly lesser cost katana see videos on this subject it is a cool looking hamon and blends well with the colored blade it’s razor sharp , the guard ,spacer and pomel , are obviously alloy antiqued of course so it looks bronze I despise alloy anything on a katana but for this price point your not getting brass copper iron let alone bronze, but the detail is good and overall looks nice , the important pieces are brass though so it seems good quality over all , handle is quality wrapped cotton with real Ray skin as the ad says seems like a good sword to cut with and do kata and what ever and for the price point it’s a nice sword with an unusual colored blade that isn’t garish , this sword is by sokajakara and is a slightly lower end for them as there stuff is top notch but again was made for the blade and it’s uniqueness the balance is nice and the weight is nice the alloy parts keeps it a tad lighter than others so if you like it in the ad go for it you’ll like it"

Q&A

Is there a trick to removing the sword from the scabbard? I don't want to break this before I gift it to my husband but I've pulled on it and the blade won't release from the scabbard
The scabbards will be super tight when you first get the item as they are brand new. It will take a good amount of force to get it in and out of the scabbard the first few times until it's worked in. If anything happens due to the tight fitting of the scabbard please let us know!
