Beautiful and strong great old time western look. Very well made and sharp. The coloring on my blade looks better than the sample on line.
Sheath looks good fits my knife good. I will by more of these for family and friends.

Great Knife to go with my .44 Magnum Peacemaker
I loved the knife when I saw it online and love it even better once I got it. I thought that I would have to make a new sheath for it, as many knives have poorly-made sheaths. I was so wrong! The stitching on the retention strap for the sheath came loose, so I replaced it with a small rivet. Here's a photo of the knife along with the Peacemaker.

It's Ok
I bought it at 38% off and for that price it is without peer. You won't be able to find a 1095 hardened steel Bowie for that little money anywhere. That said the finish left a lot to be desired. There were a lot of machining marks on the blade and pommel. I bought it is a cheap working knife and for that it fills the role admirably. You can try to work it to death, and it won't matter. The balance is acceptable, and the blade came fully sharpened and ready to work.

great
it is a solid and beautiful knife, match's the metal on my rifle. Sharp but needed a little work to make it ready for hunting sharp. I will get this brand for friends and family very happy.

Pictures of this blade here do not do it justice! Not only is this knife beautiful, it's also very well made! Love the look, construction and steel of it! Timber Rattler did NOT disappoint here!!

Hell of a field knife! 5 Stars !
I must admit I was a bit skeptical when my beautiful women said she had purchased me a knife. I'm 46 years old and either hunt or fish damn near every day. I'm hard on equipment. It's just the nature of business in the great north woods of Michigan. So in the mail comes this gigantic fricken knife. A nice blade but I had to chuckle to myself because its size is what I figured would be to damn large for me to practically use. So I toss this bad boy into my gun cabinet. Well what do you know? The next day my women's brother's wife hit a deer 300 yards from my driveway! State Police come of coarse make a report and write me a tag for this doe. I happily accept because one more deer in the freezer cant hurt right? Well I hang this doe and go and grab my skinning knife out of the gun cabinet and that's when I remembered that my beautiful women has the keys to my shed. Which means I cant get my saw to cut through the breast bone on this hanging doe. That's when my eyes fell upon my Gunslinger Bowie. So I figure let's give this fricken thing a try. Now I've field dressed about 50+ whitetail in my life time. I started at the throat cutting straight down, figuring I'd have to muscle a bit through the breast bone. That's not how it went down however. Almost effortlessly this Gunslinger Bowie slid through so fast I was not only surprised but by the time I shockingly stopped using force on the knife. I was half way down the belly. This knife came amazingly sharp and took zero lip from this Michigan Whitetail. I can only imagine what that would translate over too in a knife fight. "God forbid" . Mine is fire kissed but looks different from the one pictured. So expect I'd imagine for yours to be unique as well. I have zero complaints and neither will you. I was skeptical but have been made a believer. This knife is with me from now on in the deep woods. The price might look a bit scary especially if you've been shopping around for a Bowie. Buy the fricken thing and you'll quickly realize where that extra money went! Let me tell you, quality!

A Good Hunting Blade But Not A Good Case
I have hunted with a short bowie for about 5 years or more (12 inch over all ) and it was starting to have some problems so i wanted to get a real bowie knife to hunt with, yes hunt with.
I have gutted two deer with it since i got the knife and the blade is REALLY good.
Just keep oil on the blade when you get home after use and it will not have a problem, normal hunting oil for guns will work.
The case on the other hand is not well made if you are going to use it for hunting like me.
The strap that you put your belt though came apart after only 2 times of going out hunting with it. I fixed it myself but keep this in mind when buying this knife.
Over all i am happy with the knife blade but the case will have to be replaced but in my opinion the blade is worth the money.

Bloop
I love the knife but when I got it the handle was chipped on a few places otherwise a great knife so far.

Beautiful workhorse
I was going to exchange this knife due to the rough craftsmanship where the wooden scales of the handle meet the guard, pommel and the gap in between the rear of the pommel and the tang, but upon further research and careful consideration, I think I'll keep the one I was originally sent rather than taking the chance of getting a more poorly constructed one. The blade pattern is beautiful and everything is tight, but not the same quality fitment as in other Timber Rattlers. The Gunslinger has grown on me and I love it. Thank you BudK for sending me a good quality one! I also bought the Timber Wolf trial by fire tanto tracker. Together they make a nice matching pair.
