Good Value Reviewed by Douglas Strand on Feb 16, 2016   4 out of 5

I bought this on a Valentine's Day special for $10, and it arrived today. I feel it is a good value for that price. The blade is huge, about 3/16" thick, and takes a decent edge. The handle on mine is also large and well-finished, with no significant gaps or flaws. It fits my hand well. The sheath is NOT genuine leather as advertised, it is some kind of a black rubber or plastic fake leather material. It looks like leather from a short distance away, but I would not trust it to carry this knife on the belt for long, due to the weight of the knife and the lack of strength where the belt loop attaches to the sheath. Also, the blade edge would be constantly rubbing against the foam rubber spacers on the sheath. I will probably make a leather sheath for mine (which will be made to protect the blade's sharpness), but until then the sheath makes a decent blade storage/safety device. This knife is made in Pakistan and it looks like significant labor went into making it. I am happy with my purchase.

OK For The Price Reviewed by Jake Krys on Aug 21, 2015   3 out of 5

I got this knife on sale for $14, and for that it was worth it. The knife itself is actually quite nice. The handle looks good and the brass accents are nice, though for some reason the handle smells like the fake bacon dog treats. The sheath is the downfall of this knife. Its not real leather and was thin and cheap feeling. The belt loop is very thin, and the "stitching" was already undone when mine arrived. My sheath wasn't even stitched, it was glued together and the stitching was just tucked into the holes In the sheath. Ive owned other Timber Rattlers and they were great but this one was a bit of a disappointment.

the bolster was terribly over cut. I needed a pastry tip to pump JB weld into the gaps. The bone handle was burnt and badly pitted. It required a lot of sanding to repair. The blade was as dull as a butter knife. spent a goodly amount of time with a large file to put an edge on it. but for $20.00 it created a lot of hobby time

What a knife!!!! Reviewed by RD on Jul 02, 2015   5 out of 5

I was very surprised when I opened this package. This knife is great. Very nice looking, the feel was awesome. It had great balance to it. The blade was very thick and the handle was magnificent. It was everything I hoped it would be.
