"The knife is great. It did need a little sharpening, but other than that this thing is a beast! It is way bigger and more intimidating in person than it looks online. The leather sheath is also surprisingly nice. If you want to feel like a pioneer from American history on your next camping trip or something, I strongly suggest this knife."

"This is your basic all business no frills workhorse. It looks the part and it definitely delivers. It's like something that you would dig up after a couple hundred years in a hidden mountain cave or something, except it's shiny and new. Some people may think the handle is too big, but it fits my hand just fine. That part is always going to be subjective. If you have big hands, or you like a knife that you can grab hold of and really use without feeling like you're holding a carrot, then you will like this handle. It may be just a tad on the short side, but in my opinion the handle's thickness makes up for that. The sheath is good quality leather, but the strap is a little loose as another reviewer has mentioned. Even so, I have had no trouble with the knife falling out. It comes plenty sharp. This is a nice and very functional knife in my view and should be a good addition to your collection."

"I was very impressed with this knife as soon as I opened the box. I have arthritis in my hands, so the larger sized handle was perfect for my hand. I am also a stickler for knife sheaths. And once again the leather sheath that comes with the Wise Oak bowie hit true to home. I like this knife very much, and am thinking of getting some more to give as gifts. Thanks BUD-K!!!"
