An attractively rugged-looking pair of full-tang knives.
"KNIVES: I really like this pair of full-tang knives. They don't look as "polished" as the ones in the picture, but, with this set, I actually prefer the less-finished/machined, more-primitive/crafted look. They look like they mean business and are ready to get down and dirty with any bloody task before them. SHEATH: At first I was disappointed with it and I thought of how it could be designed better. However, after working with it, I've come to think it is fine. The most important thing I learned in working with it is always draw the larger knife out first. If you try to draw the smaller knife out first, the snap for the larger knife will obstruct the draw of the smaller knife. And even if you unsnap the snap for the larger knife, you'll struggle in drawing the smaller knife out first because of how tightly pressed the smaller knife is up against the larger knife when both knives are in the sheath. But that tight pressed-togetherness presents no difficulty whatsoever for drawing the larger knife out. So always draw the big knife first. Doing so will free up your draw of the smaller knife. OVERALL: I paid $36 and am very happy with my purchase. I have grown quite fond of them, having them in their sheath laying right on the large cushioned arm of my large cushioned reading chair in my den*, opposite of my floor lamp upon which a rugged-looking western hat and bullwhip hang. (*Den: an old school man cave dedicated to physical books and hunting gear instead of electronic screens and spectator sports.)"
