I bought a set of these for my grandson, and he absolutely loves them. These are hard to beat for the money.
Beautiful knives very sharp and smooth, love it!
The smaller one broke after being dropped less than two feet onto my carpet and it didn't even hit anything on the way down. The big one is great though.
Just received my Bowie knifes not bad for the price shipping was fast and the knifes are sharp. Will definitely recommend.
I agree with everyone else..the sheath sucks....but I will make a new one. Bought two sets..one for my son and one for his father because I prefer full tang. It is nice and heavy. I was disappointed with one set - the hilt was not as flush as it should have been but did not seem to bother the function much. We are collectors that understand practical and possible necessity of use so we are for the moment happy with the purchase. I am happy enough to buy myself one now. Overall - not at all bad for the price.
I bought two sets of these a little over a year ago. Right out of the box I noticed the poor sheath thing is cheap and falls apart quickly. Began testing and soon found how shoddy the handles are. Wood on handles broke and showed that these are not full tang knifes they are half tang only 2 of the 3 pins connect to the knife. I am not one to let a blade go to waste to I have since fashioned a new handle from antler and fixed the sheath many many times. The blade is a good blade holds an edge well and can take a beating but being a half tang and with a cheap handle this is not solid knife. Looking for a beater knife that you don't care about this will work looking for a solid knife that will last a life time look elsewhere.
Great solid blades for the price. Hard to put both blades in the sheath at the same time. But overall they are well balanced and solid.
I just received these moments ago in the mail and let me tell you, these feel more solid than any knife I've owned. the only drawback is the sheath. while it's a VERY sturdy one, I've just never been a fan of nylon sheaths. once I get a leather one made for each knife I'll be set! I would snatch these up while they're at this price!!!
I am a collector, not much of a user. I, also, like to give large numbers of these knives to friends and my buddies at the American Legion. So, I look for knives that are pleasing to the eye and to handle. It does not hurt if they are fun topics of conversation. In order to afford to do this, it is all about price and this Bowie set and BUDK are my best answer. So, if you
Handles could be a little longer for me but ,it's workable. The blades are very sharp from the box and very beefy. Only real problem I have is the sheath. It's too tight for the front knife to pull/put smoothly in and out. It isn't gunna take much to rip it out and the tip catches in the nylon. I will probable have to switch it out to leather; as it should be.
